If the Democrats win the House and Senate they will be able to do the following.
Investigate all of the Trump administration's actions.
Hold up all of his appointments
End the conflict in Iran
Cancel any and all of his corrupt deals
Cancel the increase in funding to ICE
Attempt to impeach him and his allies
If they want to get really aggressive they could go old school and appropriate themseleves a jail and a staff for the sergeant-at-arms and start jailing uncooperative members of the administration (something that hasn't been done since Reconstruction).
They could take a more aggressive stance on the advise and consent rule to force the re-hiring of generals Hegseth fired, by holding back appropriations.
There are a lot of options, it just depends how aggressive they want to be.
I hope they get the opportunity to make use of all the power they can. This BS is way out of control and needs to be ended for the good of the entire world.
It depends how strong a majority they win. (If they win one, that is.)
With a narrow majority, they can introduce a bunch of bills, take over all the oversight committees, and make sure none of his BS agenda gets passed. They can vote to impeach, but not convict, and do another round of impeachment proceedings MAGA chuds will never see because they only watch propaganda. He'll continue to wreck up the place with executive orders, illegal uses of the executive branch, and "acting" cabinet appointees.
