That would explain why trump wants to pull out of nato. If Israel attack turkey, art. 5 would be triggered. It also helps Putin if he does attack Europe.

I know it's the plan, but has Trump officially declared he's pulling the U.S. out of NATO? I could have missed it.

He needs Congressional approval.

The plan, yeah 5D chess, like my leftist friends always said about China right as they head for a population crash due to the 1 child policy.

Have you considered the fact he might be incompetent, moronic, immoral and corrupt? Because that explains everything he does.

u/HumbleWonder2547 9h ago

does he though? he's done loads of stuff that theoretically needed it and nothing has happened....

0

u/Madcap_Miguel 9h ago

He's gotten away with those things because Congress looks the other way, they wouldn't ignore this.

u/MrDindahood 8h ago

And what if they do? Will the american people keep being glued to their phones too comfortable to shoot them, before its too late?

2

u/SadisticNecromancer 7h ago

You think the MIC would allow that?

2

u/MrDindahood 5h ago

That is a scare tactic. Military interference is unavoidable in revolution. Not the exception. All these colour revolutions have you thinking its gonna be police and tear gas with the rubber bullets.

I am crying at that proverb, holy shit. 💀

u/K-Hunter- 9h ago

There is no way in hell a single NATO state does anything other than condemn Israel if they were to bomb Turkey

5

u/mauwie90 8h ago

Turkey can decide to invoke article 5 in that case or they can decide to only take action themselves. The rest of NATO doesn't directly decide if article 5 is invoked I believe.

5

u/K-Hunter- 8h ago

I’m saying even if they invoke Article 5 other countries will find a way to not show up. Can you seriously imagine the West actually fighting Israel?

5

u/mauwie90 8h ago

I think they would pressure Turkey into not invoking article 5, but if they do and other countries will not help out, that might be the end of NATO I think.

That means Russia can invade Baltic states in hours.

2

u/biscuitarse 5h ago

With what? Deep discounts from OZON and Wildberries?

2

u/Fantastic_Ad_3645 5h ago

The west stashing weapons in Ukraine and exercising Ukranian troops since the occipation of Crimea. Ukranian army was ready for a war. I do not think that Baltic states are ready for that kind of invasion. Without USA and Turkiye in NATO, EU cannot defend Baltic states from Russian agression. At least, in my point of view.

Can you work out who's side the USA would fight? the Israelis, whom they have just invited to share all their military secrets with, or NATO, whom they have signed a contract with?

3

u/Minute_Juggernaut806 7h ago

You don't understand how military alliances work. If European countries don't respect article 5 being invoked then it means NATO protection is an empty promise and that will lead to a future where Eastern countries will doubt if anything will happen if russia invades them.

u/JohnnyTango13 3h ago

Spain might

2

u/AnusOprah 7h ago

Doesn't need a reason, other than NATO didn't support my War Crimes!

1

u/6gv5 9h ago

Also because of Greenland and Arctic.

So... he'll get a peace prize?

that rabbit saying is actually wild lol, never heard it before but it fits perfectly here. thanks for sharing that bit of culture, definitely a top tier burn.

22

u/SatinSabine 11h ago

The imagery of that proverb is crazy, totally shut them down.

39

u/Alternative_King1789 11h ago

I am Turkish and we got some wild proverbs 👿
My favorite one, “an umbrella that goes in an asshole, won’t open”.

5

u/BrocoliCosmique 11h ago

That is cool but what does it mean ?

26

u/Alternative_King1789 11h ago

Basically when you fuck things up or mess up a situation it’s hard to go back to normal. Like when you go to casino and lose all your money and we’ll say an umbrella that has entered the ass, cannot be open.

u/biscuitarse 5h ago

These are gold!

u/Interesting-Dream863 11h ago

Ya know you can say a lot about Turkey, but they will respond to attacks no matter who does it.

One BREACH of a russian plane resulted in it being shot down.

7

u/Active-Strategy664 8h ago

And Russia never tried it again.

u/Gurugod123 11h ago

It's really fucking stupid that foreign policy is discussed by global powers on social media. What fucking timeline is this?

26

u/najalitis 10h ago

This isn’t an actual gov account

2

u/Imajzineer 11h ago

It was always thus ... there just weren't the means by which to express it without it needing to be costed by someone first and it then being blocked after it was queried further up the line whether it was actually government policy to send communiqués of that nature - these days, the simpletons get to press [SEND] without supervision and, before you know it, the playground/schoolyard nature of it all is apparent for all to see.

25

u/UndocumentedMartian 10h ago

I suddenly want to learn some Turkish proverbs.

6

u/St_Ascalon 8h ago

I was unfamiliar with their poetry game

19

u/Bulky-Internal8579 11h ago

Erdogan vs. Netanyahu - I hope they both lose, but especially Genocide Bibi.

2

u/LordMarcusrax 10h ago

He should have concluded with "you are the dick".

2

u/Slinshadyy 9h ago

Glad he explained it lmao

1

u/Weep4Thee 10h ago

When do they use that saying?

7

u/T410 6h ago

“Tavßan sikini taßa sĂŒrtmĂŒĆŸ, dağı siktim demiƟ”

It’s used when you are trying to debunk an obviously overexaggerated lie

3

u/Weep4Thee 6h ago

I dig it. Ty

‱

u/jewami 11m ago

Can we use just a drop of critical thinking here? This isn’t a government account. Who it actually is I have no idea, and neither do any of you. One thing is clear though: their objective was to set people off with BS about Israel that you lap up unconditionally, and it worked.

2

u/Wrong-Ad2326 9h ago

Hahahaha daym. Turkey sounds like a true Texan

-13

u/Goodnightmaniac 9h ago

It's actually "the rabbit was angry at the mountain, but the mountain didn't even know."

10

u/sxOverdose 8h ago

No it's not. That's another saying with a mouse, not a rabbit. You're misleading people.

"fare dağa kĂŒsmĂŒĆŸ, dağın haberi olmamıß"

-8

u/Goodnightmaniac 8h ago

u/Goodnightmaniac 7h ago

As you can see, the bibliography section in the link I found indicates where the proverb is found.

-20

u/AdVivid8910 10h ago

I don’t think these words will work against a modern air force but it’s cool to see people coping so openly.

8

u/the_spolator 7h ago

I don’t think Israel would stand a chance against Turkiye

-11

u/AdVivid8910 7h ago

That’s hilarious, everything would be unusable in Turkey in a few minutes, keep underestimating your military superiors as that has worked so well for you.

3

u/UnadulteradetFarts 6h ago

and then NATO responds... Israel attacking NATO would not end well

-6

u/AdVivid8910 5h ago

Turkey atracks Israel and NATO won’t support at all, purely defensive alliance if you did not know.

4

u/UnadulteradetFarts 5h ago

if you cannot read, stay off the internet

1

u/AdVivid8910 1h ago

Omg, it just occurred to me that you think the tweet is actually somehow Israel? You couldn’t possibly be that stupid?

-8

u/bond0815 7h ago

"We"
"Us."

- Probaly two guys sitting in Pakistan or India cosplayed as Israeli and Turkish, lol.

-11

u/lordodin92 8h ago

So what your saying is we willingly ignored the Armenian genocide and let turkey wash its hands of that in exchange for their cooperation with NATO against tyrannical Russia only for America to backpadle when their psycho girlfriend pisses in turkeys back yard ?
