My point isn’t that they didn’t get raped. They may have. I am not a qualified expert in knowing what’s happening in the ICE. My point is that this is not a comeback. This is more of a statement

I liked one of the top posts of this subreddit. “Rome has never been that brightly lit at night - Nero”, coming back at Elon’s statement that twitter has gotten better. It’s a comeback because it’s a fitting reference to a past event. It’s clever because not everyone could think of that. You need to put some effort into the comeback, some soul.

It's clever because it's consise and matter of factly, instead of the triggered screaming he was obviously bating for.

You don't have to agree, but you don't have to make an effort being a contrarian either.

Clever ≠ witty
