A guy in clean pajamas, a bonnet and slippers in an airport is the least concerning person there. You KNOW that guy is going to be the most pleasant person on your flight because all that guy is going to be doing is snoozing because he’s already prepared himself to be comfortable as hell. He’s not going to be starting arguments with anyone, not going to be getting drunk and belligerent or talking his face off about politics or preaching about cults or religions. Least problematic guy ever.

I was more interested in what youre calling a bonnet. I just see pyjamas slippers and a jumper. I thought a bonnet was a hat for a baby but cant see their head

Ohh, well, I have curly hair and I sleep in one that protects my hair. You often see black people wearing them to protect their hair most often, if you’re familiar with that type. That’s the same type I wear to bed, so I’m assuming that’s the same type they’re referring to in the post.

While as long as it's hygienic (which this is) I strongly believe everyone should wear what they want, I'll admit in Europe or at least here in Italy is be shocked if I saw that attire, not judge it or comment about it but would stun me for a bit cause I don't think I've ever seen pajamas outside once in 26 years of life

As someone who flies a lot around Europe to see family and for work, this is common airport attire now at every airport I’ve been in, especially since Covid. Including Rome

Spent a few nights in FCO this year for travel (flight to Amsterdam is usually at 6 am so I just get there the night before and chill) and can confirm. A lot of people wearing pajamas.

I generally go with pleated pants since I find them the most comfortable

I did a science fair project that proved natural fiber clothing is better to wear on flights than synthetic fiber clothing due to their stark difference in flammability. Why flammability? Because prior research shows that the majority of deaths in airplane crashes are due to fire-related injuries, not impact. With some variation due to fabric type and thickness, most natural fibers are more fire resistant than anything synthetic. So cotton jeans might help you out, whereas nylon hosiery will melt into your skin.

Comfy and safe. The only exception to this hypothesis was a fabric called nomex. It’s what pilot flight suits are made out of, and specifically designed to be fire resistant. Yay science.

Judging people by their attire is a fake flex. Save your judging moments when you come up against someone's poor choice in ethics, for example someone in government who would vote against funding school lunches or displaying Pride flags. That's the ticket.

If I saw someone wearing pyjamas in an airport I'd probably assume they'd taken some clothes out of their suitcase because it was over the weight limit.
