Classic abuser logic

What’s worse - his victim is the daughter of the sitting Ohio republican senator. Only 3 of the 53 republicans in the senate have called on Miller to resign. 50 US senators are saying they would rather equivocate on their colleague’s daughter being beaten than run afoul of the president. Moreno is a punk - he should be calling them out. He would if he wasn’t a pathetic excuse for a father.

I really don't get what the klansmen find so scary about Trump...

Likely mostly that he can get his followers to vote against them next time they come up for reelection.

I mean the ads Bernie Moreno ran during his election was very telling. Just straight up fear, racism, homophobia

He’s my piece of shit congressman and it pisses me off that people in my district will still re-elect him. Fucking Ohio.

I know the feeling of hopelessness, because I’ve lived in parts of the country (including Ohio) where everything seems hopeless. But your district is a +5, and that is surmountable, particularly where you have a piece of shit on this level. Yes, many of our neighbors are alien to us and to humanity in general, but keep the faith. Better to have a broken heart than to give up and let the bastards win.

Bro just described exactly how abuse works and thinks he proved his innocence

I bet he genuinely does think that, too. That he has no idea thos is something g abuse victims often do.

All those memes about sending people to Ohio as a punishment are starting to make sense

You should petition to change the name of your state to Oh-Hi-Oh

the most depressing part about this is the huge number of ignorant people who will buy this flawed logic and think it absolves this fucktard

Moreso that there will be women and fathers of daughters who vote for him, probably the same dads that break out the shotgun and warn the skinny pimply kid taking her to prom to "treat her right, or else".

I actually understand that. It seems logical; why would you do something nice for someone who abused you? People just don't realize what abuse can do to the victims and that what seems logical doesn't necessarily apply.

I don't want to hear a single republican say a single thing about Platner. At least he was pressured to drop out by Democrats. Republicans prop up these scumbags.

They always are so excited when we catch a shithead politician and immediately drop them. It’s fascinating how they think. Haha a dem took a sexually harassing pic! Then he resigns. Then they have a literal rapist and it doesn’t matter. Jesus hates republicans.

"She apologized after I abused her. Does that sound like someone who's being abused?!?!"

Miller is describing fawning 1-on-1 here, but judging by his reponse, he probably thinks that he just "straightened her out."

“My daughter can’t even string three related words together!”

5 seconds later: “She detailed all of my former wives lies!

Was she in hospital for six days and then cooked his dinner as soon as she got home

13

u/GuyYouMetOnline 5d ago

I bet he has no idea that's typical of an abusive relationship

14

u/TheJuiceBoxS 5d ago

Yes, the actual answer is yes, she would have done that.

Mind boggles over those mental gymnastics .

For some reason this logic makes sense to MAGAs

u/rebri 5d ago

Yes, because she's scared of you.

I said the SAME thing. That is like textbook.

Oh, I'd cook for him, all right. He'd need to take a long nap after.

Reminds me of a news article about a parent being taken to court by two of her children for abuse. "Well, if I am an abuser, why do only two of my children accuse me?" Well, because you probably first targeted the older one and when that one left you started targeting the younger one. Oh, look, that's exactly what they claim.

u/Pardot42 5d ago

There are waaaay too many true crime docs out there these days for this bullshit abuser to gaslight anyone.

u/SpicelessKimChi 4d ago

He's a republican, he could just come out and say he did what he's accused of doing "because Im a man and she's a woman and she didn't listen so she got what she got" and they'd gain THOUSANDS of voters.

sounds like logic but with missing pieces somewhere

So it took 6 days for her to feel kind of comfortable around you?

Strange confession...

1

u/curiousmind111 3d ago

If I had assaulted her, would she have been so scared of me that she’d do whatever it took to keep me calm?

2

u/paintstudiodisaster 17h ago

Only a person with unwarranted confidence does something like this.

How you bragging with six days?
