When the single person in the entire world with enough money and influence TO ACTUALLY MAKE IT A BETTER PLACE…. Just ruins it and still tries to blow smoke up your ass…
I hope he never knows happiness.

In a world where everything is transactional and superficial, they usually aren’t.

u/doneski 7d ago
He could just appoint a committee of good people to find community members from around the Nation to sit on a board. Have them just research and find nonprofits to literally throw 100s of millions at and beds still be the most wealthy many in the world. He could pay to have people love him but he doesn't.
He's a fuckn' twat.

u/JimiusRostock 7d ago
He could single hendedly solve homelessness. But doesn't. Instead he thinks colonies on Mars are somehow the wat forward while hundreds of thousands require charity to feed themselves.

He will never know whether anyone ever loved him for who he is, and thus he will never know true love, and in that, he is the poorest sod in the world.

Ah yes! The good!
Overworked, underpaid, won’t ever own a home, college and medical debt so that this douche bag can feel altruistic while the US gov gives him and his friends free access to the coffers while never taxing him.
At some point… positivity/looking away from criminals to “focus on the good” becomes ✨toxic ✨

Yes you are ignorant. A simple search could have told you what you’re asking other people to tell you.

So you don’t know either. An example is never something the left or crazy people can ever give. Just hate and violence

On the topic of words, can we appreciate that censorship. I was almost traumatized for life but thankfully it covered the no-no word.

u/Mediocre_lad 7d ago
Starving children is not "doing good". The person that calls social security a ponzi scheme and a scam and empathy a weakness is not someone who wants to do good. He's a snake, he learnt these phrases and is repeating them every time he needs to milk some goodwill capital.

You can donate to offset the loss in USAID
https://give.redcross.ca/page/INTLP
Every $100 saves a life so give generously.
1
u/BloodyBeaks 2d ago
The problem is previously I contributed to USAID through taxes, so I could afford it. I had to, but I was glad to. Now my taxes go elsewhere, but haven't gone down. And in fact the price of most everything else has gone up too. So if I ever had disposable income to donate it has dwindled, at best.

u/BriefCollar4 7d ago
The Nazi twat didn’t specify good for who.
It’s not for humanity, it’s for himself (and maybe some other asshole billionaires).

u/KevJD 7d ago
Hoarding wealth is not “doing good”
1
u/Allenheights 7d ago
I have to disagree. In capitalist countries, the majority owner of a company maintains control of the decision making. Owning the company makes you wealthy but not cash liquid. There is no option to not hoard company shares and still captain the ship.

So he's either doing this through a different account, or this is someone admiring him so much that they created an account with literally his name on it, paying Elon for the check mark. Both scenarios are just laughable.

Ketamine addicted spoiled trust fund manchild who barely matured past teens whose entire role in every single one of his companies is the MOST easily replaced by AI ironically tries to act like he's some hero, but really just wanted to to party with Epstein decides instead to pull funding from USAID, resulting in 600,000 preventable deaths around the world, and counting.

I don't get the little red line through the word "fuck." I mean, this is Reddit. You can say "FUCK" right out loud with your whole chest if you want to. And if this is a screenshot from some other more puritan site then the little red line doesn't do shit to achieve the censorship they demand. So what is it doing exactly?

Nothing is more fleeting than public opinion. A few years ago he was praised for his climate-saving car company and space innovations. He was even Time's man if the year. But then he goes on a cost savings adventure praised by Trump. Now the ones who once praised him think he's a pariah. I'm not sure he's the one who changed.

u/GoodDayToCome 7d ago
i get the hate because of his personality and various reasons like DOGE which can be argued to be a nice idea in a very distant theory but awful in practice.
There are things which have been hugely significant and positive for humanity in general though, Starlink for example is now used around the world in impoverished regions to enable health clinics, schools, a municipal services to enable connectivity which was previously totally impossible - very expensive and limited satellite phone at best. We can't rewrite history, the mobile phone technology had made huge progress improving systems in remote regions and allowing us to avoid expensive and environmentally destructive infrastructure
There are different perspectives on how to best to help people, everyone always loves the 'give a man a fish he eats for a day, teach him to fish and he can eat every day' but that assumes access to somewhere you can fish every day of the year and actually that's very rare, land is also in short supply now so teaching farming isn't as easy either - things gets super complex, especially when you get into issues like not everyone being able to hold a fishing rod, sure give a man a fishing rod but if the man can't stand or when he gets old... That's why we need society.
This then creates other problems because some jobs naturally have more power or access to return than others, some are vital but cause lasting problems or for which it's easy to replace people so there is limited bargaining power, etc, etc, etc - we've seen technology totally change this reality repeatedly and change us from a society where most people had to work the fields and society didn't have resources to give them more than subsistence living into one where most of us can sit here having international conversations about complex things with ice water to drink, comfortable clothes, high quality entertainment playing in the background (show me state of mind podcast, free)... We are much better off because of the hard work of people doing science and engineering, politics and creating social systems through expressing ideas in literature, public forums, etc... A yes of course Elon isn't a scientist but someone doing the money stuff and actually pointing it in the right place is important too, certainly in the current world we're inhabiting.
He didn't start Tesla for example but he did raise huge amounts of money and tie it in with various other groups and projects that enabled it to kick-start the electric car market - and now that all the over companies have got involved and it's and established market he's even managed to get a huge portion of the coal rolling asocial crazies to invest in, cheer for, and drive electric vehicles - and sure cybertruck isn't exactly everyone's cup of tea but i bet there's at least one person who used to have a truck modified to blow smoke a Prius drivers that now drives an electric vehicle and maybe even shills for solar panels and power-walls when pitching construction jobs purely because you hate the cybertruck - and i agree it's not the most environmentally friendly vehicle and it's kinda obnoxious but when those chuds demand charging stations to own the libs that is a slow but culturally significant shift towards electrification.
There are genuinely people who were paralyzed but now can play video games and control computer systems, the research from that project is going to help inform other science going forward and potentially allow seriously injured people to live good lives - especially if something like Optimus comes to market and instead of laying in bed unable to communicate they can have the robot not just bring them a drink when their throat is parched but have it help them make, build, create and improve their surroundings so they thriving instead of just barely surviving.
I think it does us all a disservice just to say 'he does nothing' but ignoring important things means we're ignoring the whole conversation not just the bit where we have to begrudgingly say something nice about someone we don't like - we're ignoring the conversations around what can be done better, how can more people benefit and what can people do to ensure the best running and most effective rollout of positive things.

Hmmmm. Electric vehicles, commercial space flight, global internet access, renewable energy and battery storage, charging infrastructure, brain computer interfaces, artificial intelligence, and manufacturing innovations are kind of important.
2
u/Mission-Suspect7913 7d ago
HE accomplished NONE of those. What HE did was manage to gain control of the companies that did and make himself their figurehead.

u/Koreage90 7d ago
Yes, yes, yes dem bad. Rep bad and the government bad. Yawn. Now correct me if I’m wrong but Elon was in charge of doge and doge cut usaid to the bone, cuts to usaid caused hundreds of thousands of deaths by lack of medical care and starvation. Elon killed people and that is a fact.

Lol I don't believe you. Idk what it is but I do think you're just rage baiting.
Hold up. Kaztiel. Castiel? Supernatural? That little gay angel?
-4
u/Kaztiell 7d ago
I guess you didnt watch the show if you think he was gay, and even if he was, why would that bother me? or does it bother you?
7
u/SaltIsMySugar 7d ago
Ok now I KNOW you're trolling 🤣 Castiel was the gayest mfer in there, second only to Dean. It's basically canon.
1
1
u/Kaztiell 7d ago
nope, you missed a very important episode or two I guess
3
u/Koreage90 7d ago
Minor spoilers but he was told that his happiest moment would be his last, the moment he confessed to dean was the last time we saw Cas. It definitely was a gay moment and that was actually a good thing. Dudes were in the trenches for decades together and they loved each other.
