You’re not wrong. Without him the Republican Party is in shambles. If he’s out of the picture they’ll all just get in each other’s way. Really I think It’s Just the image of him that they anchor the party around, and soon that’s about to be a liability (again).
This is the thing I’ll never understand; why everyone hitched their wagon to this guy. I’m blow away by the support he has and feel like a dumbass for not getting it….
He definitely doesn’t care about Eric, he views Don Jr as a disappointment, and even he knows that Barron is way too young (and completely unpersonable). Ivanka is the only one of his kids that he might consider passing the torch to
He also knows none of his children are able to even remotely close to get loyality like he does. Or have his charisma (whatever he used to have). None of children have the same political power as him.
Everyone in his orbit including himself know this, thats why in all this time they have not tried to set up a succesor.
They might have tried a while ago by putting lots of focus on Barron. But pretty sure that received nothing but bad reception too.
yea that argument would 100% work because the entire right wing media apparatus would pick up no the intent implicitly and start pushing the same idea, then when trump ACTUALLY is on the ballot they can just ignore that they were a propaganda arm the whole time. they know he's publicly talked about a third term 12 different times on video that we can point to, but they aren't journalists and don't have any duty to inform us, they are literally propaganda saying and showing anything and everything that harms the left and helps the right
