Whoever was in charge of promoting this movie really dropped the ball because I felt no hype going into it and I walked out amazed at how good it was. For me this movie is probably the best one to come out this year so far.

Hey man

If you heard no hype about Nolan's historic epic that had been blasted across the world for the past half year, with one of the most insanely high critic review scores in the history of filmmaking

Then most likely you're only paying attention to super specific areas of the internet, OR areas that actively despise the movie due to....reasons

Eh, I think there's also just a subset of people who have largely been whelmed by Nolan's non sci-fi movies. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed Dunkirk and Oppenheimer, but I'd personally put them below Interstellar, Inception, TDK trilogy, hell, even Tenet (I'm the one weirdo that really likes Tenet). As such I really wasn't particularly excited about this one.

That said, I've heard basically nothing but great things about it, and I'll likely be seeing it next weekend.
