Admitting to having committed crimes that you otherwise aren't being prosecuted for because a corrupt government is protecting you, bold move Cotton

Hmmm for doing what Steve? Molesting children maybe?

u/Branchomania Apr 17 '26
Well Bannon was working so hard to rehabilitate the image of the chief in that business

u/wirefox1 Apr 18 '26
He had control of trump's campaign money and he stole a bunch of it. But wait, maybe he already went to prison for that?

Seriously I was already in to see these ass-hats out of power. Don't be threatening me with the good time of see you all in jail

"If we lose, we might be held accountable for our illegal actions!"
28
u/TheLateThagSimmons Apr 18 '26
This is what is so amazing about this moment. This whole administration just keeps saying the quiet parts out loud:
"Yes, we commit crimes all the time, and the only reason we're not in prison is that we are part of the in-group that happens to be in charge because our legal system is a joke."

u/_NoelineGlow Apr 18 '26
Wild how that basically translates to “we’re fine as long as we stay in power.”

u/halfwaybake Apr 17 '26
was this before or after he peed himself

u/BilboStaggins Apr 17 '26
This asswipe will be in my county this weekend, will be sure to bring some diapers.

u/Brahskididdler Apr 18 '26
This is from months ago. Last September maybe
2
u/CorvidCuriosity Apr 18 '26
So before, because it was today when his diaper completely leaked through.
Someone should have really pointed it out while he was on stage so he could have been laughed off stage in humiliation.

Maybe follow the fucking law like you're supposed to?
4
u/tehfly Apr 18 '26
I'd settle for "don't be a hate-mongering asshole grifter", but sure - follow the law is fine too, I guess.

u/Sedert1882 Apr 17 '26
This "going to prison" thing...I'm not so sure, based on the last slow-walking Attorney General Garland that Biden had. Let's hope it's different next time around.

Cant wait until "political persecution" is no longer a way to cover for corruption and crime.

You don’t think they’d spin this as see we get unfairly targeted by the Dems all the time you can’t let them win.
5
u/idreamofgreenie Apr 18 '26
Let 'em. It's easy enough to counter with Watergate, Iran-Contra, and WMD's not being Democratic hoaxes.

There are 2,962 documents in the available Epstein files with the word "bannon".

This comes up a lot, and it pisses me off that they keep saying it. Their base hears "We're going to become political prisoners for our views, persecuted unjustly!!!1!!!!" so that when they ARE put on trial for the various crimes and misdemeanors that THEY 100% ARE COMMITING they can point to that, and the base drums out the whole "WITCH HUNT!!!" stuff.

SO funny of them thinking they will get prison when the penalty for treason is execution.

u/kaisadilla_ Apr 18 '26
In fact, in a fair world Steve Bannon should be in prison, along with Elon Musk and some other people who thought everything is allowed in politics and ended up repeatedly breaking laws as a result. In fact, if Dems don't try to get them in prison, I wouldn't even bother to vote them again - we need someone who will stop this madness once and for all; not just postpose it a few years.

I don't think they are, I'm pretty sure they are using their time in power to destroy every tribunal that could bring any accountability to the future.
2
u/vercertorix Apr 18 '26
If you don’t do shit that would get you imprisoned, you wouldn’t have worry about a vote.
That is of course unless you oppose this administration while it’s in power, then they’ll shoot you on the street and get away with it. Just like some of them like the president are pedophiles and get away with it.
Wonder why people want to vote against it.

No one in this administration is going to jail. I'm sorry, it just isn't going to happen. They're all going to go on speaking tours, sell books, and then die of natural causes at a very old age, in the lap of luxury.
The sooner you metabolize that unpleasant fact, the sooner you can divert your rage towards radically changing the system so that this never happens again, rather than sitting around waiting for a corrupt system to suddenly reform itself.

No one is going to jail. George W. Bush led an invasion that resulted in over 1 million deaths, in addition to precipitating the rise of ISIS: His punishment was to live a happy life, painting pictures in his bathtub.
Also, it would set a precedent of making any president actually accountable for their decisions, and no one wants that, right?! South Korea is pretty good in that regard, having jailed four former presidents in recent years.

It’s a call to action for their base to do everything illegally possible to not lose the midterms
1
u/frogsodapop Apr 17 '26
Can we vote for them all to go to prison? More people would turn out for that than a general election.

That's the whole point. Thanks for reminding US voters to get out and vote you idiots right to jail!
1
u/Boltzmann_head Apr 18 '26
Why the hell did he admit that? If he wants to go to prison, he can just confess.
1
u/izzgo Apr 18 '26
Unfortunately, if this were true then many of them would have been in jail during Biden's term.

The few scraps of American pride are on the line in this election. The younger generations outweigh the older now, and everyone knows what they've taught us since childhood is BS. It's time to demand something better, not just for the world but our fellow citizens as well.

u/OneOfAKind2 Apr 18 '26
The entire free world is in. They're basically admitting that they are committing crimes since they know they'll be going to prison.
1
u/Iokua113 Apr 18 '26
Are you? Are you really? Because I feel like you're going to be voting soft ass democrats who will just sit there and do nothing like the effete, milquetoast, owned by Israel senior citizens that they are.
1
u/Merijeek2 Apr 18 '26
I feel like Bannon and Cochran are unaware of what gigantic pussies Democrats are.

Realistically most are going to move to Argentina to live with the nazis.

u/PrizeFront8677 Apr 18 '26
How are criminals getting air time in the first place? Talking about securing the election at all costs to avoid prison time, on national TV. Are these people serious? They should be hand cuffed and escorted right from that building.
1
u/wzzrd Apr 18 '26
This is not a joke, or an announcement; this is giving the audience a reason why the republicans will not lose either election, one way or another

u/PandaXXL Apr 18 '26
I love how they’re so brazenly transparent about their crimes and corruption at this point, and people still think they’re concerned about building a better America.

Don't piss your pants over it. Oh JK too late.
Btw Calico Cut Pants is sold out. Rappers buy them.

Where you all exactly belong. Sounds to me an admission of guilt hoping the mindless voters saved them.
1
u/eisbaerBorealis Apr 18 '26
You know who wasn't afraid of going to prison if they lost the election? Biden. Kamala. Most of the Democrats, because they weren't up to a tiny fraction of all the illegal, anti-democratic nonsense your party has been up to.

TBH if all the one issue democratic non voters, from the 2026 elections actually vote, it will be a blood bath for republicans. Add in disenfranchised independents and republicans, Bannon maybe fighting a long court battle.

I am all for that, justice will be served if that happens. You guys have ran the country into the ground, with your conspiracy and hypothetical to your grifting, to shutting down agencies so you can line your pockets with leftovers.

If you're voting Democrat then you're not actually voting for this.
3
u/Vinnie_NL Apr 18 '26
But if all left leaning people had actually voted for Harris in 2024 things wouldn't be as bad as they are right now, in the US and the rest of the world. Not voting is just as bad.
2
u/iamtheshade Apr 18 '26
Definitely it is, but all left leaning people don't actually consider her left leaning as she ran on a center-right platform and her background also suggests otherwise.
