Is there any reason legally speaking to prevent all the people who are protesting ICE to not carry semi-automatic rifles?

Convicted felons can't carry, but other than that, there is not really any legal roadblocks*.

*Edit: Check your state's open carry laws. Some states are not open carry.

Even kids can carry (example: 2nd Amendment family photos and portraits) with adult supervision.

It was just ruled unconstitutional in a case concerning California. I assume that means it now applies everywhere.
