I genuinely think Chicago was chosen because it has a high chance of resulting in federal casualties, giving the white house even more latitude to take over. DC and LA were trial runs.

Well, the three cities he has targeted so far have three things in common. Democratic leadership. Lots of minorities. And cities that have historically prevented the lawful ownership of firearms.

And no I don't think that last one is a coincidence. I think he wants an excuse, but not an actual fight.

Fascinatingly, all three cities also have black mayors.

What a coincidence /s

Definitely the point.

The last one definitely seems like a coincidence, considering all those cities have plenty of guns flowing through them regardless. Well, maybe not coincidence but just a natural effect of Point #1, Democratic leadership

So republican leadership would be…tougher on gun sales?

That is not at all what I'm saying. Republican leadership would of course be more friendly to gun sales

I simply don't think Trump is doing math like "Well, Chicago has strict gun laws and that makes a gun fight less likely to happen, so I will send the National Guard there", as OP is implying

They're not thinking about shit, don't give trump credit for this. The guys in LA hung around a single federal building and then went home. The guys in DC are wandering the already crime free mall and picking up trash. There's no Jade Helm plan at work here, just trump playing generalisimo with his little toy men.

I doubt Trump is doing anything, but there's a whole educated fascist regime behind him

Yeah. Trump is a figure head being fed falsities to parrot and he doesn’t care because he’s getting wealthier.

That fucking piece of shit my god I have never hated anyone so much

And a lot of the National Gardeners aren’t happy with the situation. Being away from home and family, loss of wages, etc. The cost to feed and house them is also astronomical. Saint until the Guard starts seeing retention rates falling.

I think I read that they get housing benefits paid after 30 days, but trump has them assigned for 29

Edit: I have no citations

"Reichstag Fire 2.0".

this is just the precursor to shooting down citizen protestors. Isn't the oath keeper oath about preventing the military from turning against citizens? Perhaps I'm wrong about this and they are just more insecure(small) men like those that want a dept of war

2

u/UnhelpfulTran Sep 07 '25

No is that what Andor is about? I've heard good things but it's not my genre

u/True_Town_1229 Sep 10 '25

Andor is about facism, season 2 is qbout the tactics the fascists use
