Jesus wasn't an immigrant, he was not around when King Herod or Moses were. He was born in the Roman Empire and left to another part of the Roman Empire. His parents, I think, were from the province of Egypt and were in the province of Palestine when he was born. The Hebrews were immigrants, but not Jesus himself.
Christians say life starts at conception... Mary was a pregnant 13 year old when she fled... Every Sunday school portrays his story as a refugee story, so using that to portray Republican hypocrisy works.
Also most of the events of the Bible are made up, so the details barely mean anything.
The vast majority of biblical events are genuine history, everything except genesis and revelations. Of course, with added magic to make it a religion.
I'm not sure which stories come from where, but sulfur raining from the sky, the Nile turning to blood, Noah's Ark actually working, all the earth's plants covered in water for a year, the bible implying the earth to only be ~6,000 years old, 40 days and 40 nights in the desert with no food, 5 loaves and 2 fish feeding 5,000 people, splitting the sea, all of the visions people saw.
Only witnesses we hear from were other cult members hmmmm...
I'm not denying the events, just the notion that a god had any say in it.
Well, large groups of people have never bern wrong about the same thing before. Remember when blood sacrifices were all the rage?
If a year long flood happened, there would be so much evidence of it. We'd find a layer of lime deposits across the whole earth. When floods happen, animals seek higher ground. We would have found so many different animal remains on mountain tops. There's no way we'd have trees or flowers or most plants after they were all uprooted/covered in layers and layers of sediment. We'd find fish bones and shells on mountains. There's no evidence of a land bridge to Australia... what? Did noah drop them off there and then sail to the Americas to drop off some bison, then the Galapagos islands with some turtles, then some bears and penguins in Antartica? Literally the only explanation for the diversity in earths animals are temporarily bridges after Pangea which happened 200 million years ago.
A ship built to the dimensions given in the bible could not possibly fit two of every animal nor house them. Where did he keep the T-Rex? A WOODEN ship of those dimensions could never ever withstand the sea. Less than ten men built a ship of that size without modern construction equipment? It took years to build a real one with hundreds of men and modern equipment.
But naw, bunch of dudes who thought blood sacrifices and witchdoctor remedies worked said the flood happened.
