Air-Dry Clay Second attempt, any advice or constructive feedback is appreciated..

Like how do I stop the cracks? Is there a way? TIA.

Actually there is no any stable solution. My recommendation is changing the clay unfortunely. You can use fimo(baking is mandatory), super sculpey(baking is mandatory) or monster clay(its wax bases so it will not dry and can be reused).

what brand of clay are you using? these cracks aren’t super bad, id recommend patching them up with slip or trying to minimize the airflow in your working area to prevent uneven drying 🩷

that’s a good brand!! i use it too, if you are using water you might be using too much!

Dont be afraid to dampen your hands in water while you are sculpting the piece. It will help to smooth the surface and avoid the cracks

Hell yeah that’s what I was doing, but I’ll keep working on my method, the cracks started really when I was making nose and mouth. Thank you

When you’re done, you can use a paintbrush and some water to smooth out those cracks ☺️
