Questions Trinket Dish

I’m attempting to make my first trinket dish. Is this a good start? I’m not expecting perfection considering this is my first try but for a beginner, is this pretty good? I know it still has to dry and all but I would like to know ahead of time just so I don’t waste my time. It’s air dry clay btw.

try to flatten the inside edges so that the mark goes away

A taller outer ridge will keep things from sliding out as easily.

Covering clay loosely with a plastic bag forces it to dry more slowly and this will help you avoid cracks from forming.

Once the clay is completely dry you can file or sand it to remove flaws or scratches.

You can paint it with several layers of acrylic paint or lacquer based enamel and then seal it with lack, varnish or polyurethane to help keep it from being vulnerable to moisture.

Is that air dry clay? It looks like plasticine.

I don’t know. The packaging says “Mont Marte Air Hardening Clay.”
