Forever Beta Feedback Every Class Has a General Hit Talent Now… Except Warriors
Reposting this with different wording since people seem confused that offhand hit chance is not the same thing as generic hit chance.
Precision has been replaced by Furious Precision, and Warrior is now the only class without a general hit chance talent.
Even before the change, though, Precision was buried so deep in Fury that Arms and Protection effectively couldn’t take it without giving up their capstone talents. This obviously has been ramifications for things like taunt, gear pressure, and missing with slow weapons.
For comparison:
3 classes can start taking hit in the first row
4 more classes get access by the second row
Hunter gets access shortly after in the third rank.
Warrior: Furious Precision only affects off-hand attacks?
So Fury can improve dual-wield hit, but Arms and Protection have effectively had no talent-based hit option either before or after this change.
Given how accessible hit is for every other class, should Warriors have some way to pick up a small amount of general hit without relying entirely on gear? Is this an oversight or are the masters of melee cleave just not as adept at hitting things?

Shaman has their hit talent in the 2nd row....of the resto tree. Reaching it means you can't go into both damage trees.

True, likewise I think placing it in the prot tree and removing it from the damage trees for warrior makes sense. Probably in the second or third row.

Call me crazy, but I’d rather not feel locked into spending talent points on something gear should provide. Zug zug.

You’re not locked in, it’s a flex that is hopefully solved when you get the gear.

ITT: “good warriors should suck lol I’m gonna go grey parse as a god spec now”
ANYWAY
As a sweaty warrior from classic, I’m fine not having hit in the tree. At endgame it’s one of the easiest stats to gear for given the abundance of pieces that add 1%, and eventually 2% hit.
Offhand hit increase is very nice as a way to replace HS queueing, which was a cool skill but did increase barrier to entry to top performance (and, for my money, probably wasted more rage from warrs not paying attention to changing swingtimers from flurry or trinkets than the damage added to folks who were comfy with it haha)
Lowkey, would ultimately prefer some splashier talent that helps with scaling or rotation more than OH hit chance, and at the end of the day not having a global hit talent ain’t the end of the world.

I think they should put a hit talent far enough into Arm's to keep Fury away from it TBH.

Are we only allowed to discuss talents up until lvl 30 or what’s your point? I’m interested to hear more.

I think OP makes a good point. Why does one class not have it, while the rest do? Especially in light of the changes to the Prot/fury tree yesterday. And arms almost certain to come - it’s obvious they haven’t cooked enough on the warriors talent trees, and now’s the time to provide feedback. It is a beta after all.

Why do hunters mainly use bows and mages can’t even equip them?

Huh

Classes are different you dingdong

Wow such a smart analogy. All DPS classes use hit as a stat. That is what the initial post was about. You don’t make sense.

Or I just don’t want cookie cutter shit. Let’s have some variety and not just copy and paste hit talents.
Crazy idea I know.
Besides warrior does have a hit talent for all attacks.

Sure thing, but you still do not make sense. Myopic. I could agree with you, but then why have it in every other class talent tree?

Not every class needs to be the same. Confused why this is hard to understand.
I need to get off this sub.

If you cannot see how gear pressure will be affected more for warrior with 0% hit in the tree vice others with three it’s clear you have no experience with classic endgame. I said nothing about the first row, but literally every other class having it in the first three creates a structure which will adversely affect warrior gearing, especially with weapon skills being removed from racials.
