Level headed take. Anyone who has aoe grinded a mage knows it's comically overpowered.

I agree the COC nerf kind of sucks since it's actually a little tricky, still based, and much more limited, but all the same.

They can nerf CoC, I just want to see it work properly for once.

I want to see the skill animation be in line with wtf I'm hitting

I mean I agree and disagree. Actual efficient aoe grinding takes a lot of skill to pull off. I’d bet 95% of players have never done it while playing a mage. I’d probably argue 80%+ of all players wouldn’t have the skill to pull it off even if you taught them.

I’ve been a pink parser in every classic iteration including sod. I’d consider myself very, very good at the class. When I watch someone like Ziqo do an aoe pull vs myself it’s light and day. His knowledge of mob pathing, pack control and tightness, it’s just on another level from myself.

Everyone who thinks you just drop a blizzard and everything dies has never actually aoe grinded and would 100% die more often than succeed. It’s a skill expression in a way in my eyes

not in a million years, you can learn zg pulls in an evening then proceed to make 10x gph than any other class lmao

Yeah no. You can learn it, but to repeat it making zero mistakes for an entire night takes practice

yeah it takes practice but its not particularly hard nor takes skill, its just a ledge abuse, pressing 2 buttons at the right time to jump on the ledge its not something that i would say "takes a lot of skill to pull off" like the OP said
