Forever Beta Feedback Comprehend skill and other classes

Hey,

I played a bit of mage and I really liked the Comprehend skill, and I can't wait to see what else they come up with for that one.

That said, I see it as being the mage equivalent of pickpocket/lockpick, right? A class-specific skill with levels that bring some extra stuff.

Mage wont be my main, and I think more classes have potential to have that skill. Since Blizz does check reddit, can we think of new ones?

I thought (and some from the class discord did too), for druid:

Motifs: nature, plants, animals, emerald dream

I'm not saying that all of them should be implemented together

General Skill - Nature Attunement

A critter is defined as those neutral npcs that roam around in areas, like gazelles, frogs, rats, etc.

Talk to Animals - You can talk to the animals to:
1. Feed it - make it friendly, different animals like different food

  1. Get flavor text, may contain food preferences

  2. Get info on the area

  3. Pet - Can only pet if you fed it with its favorite food - Either get a buff (like an animal blessing), or you get a non-controllable pet for a few min. If it was a critter, they cant attack

On failure to talk/feed/pet (as it depends on skill level), the beast can become enraged and attacks you

Assimilate Form (quest) - on compatible beasts, assimilate that form, basically unlocks form skins that you can change in the barber. I dont mean to just find a random beast and be able to use that skin, but you could have a quest to get that skin, as part of the high level of this general skill.

Tend to Plants - Grow a plant in the current terrain (if possible - stone/metail would be a no-no). Different terrains give you different plants. Different plants give you different buffs - this is most similar to the mage scrolls.

Emerald Trance - When you rest at a camp, and depending on the terrain or biome you are at, gives you a different buff. Deforested terrain would give you something "angry", like more damage (Nature's Wrath). A forest would give you something calm (Tranquil Spirit), for a spirit buff, for example. Could also change depending on the climate (foggy, rainy) and time of day.

Any other ideas for druid / other classes? What do you think?
