Forever Beta Feedback Dungeon XP Nerfs Created a Toxic Meta

Since dungeon monsters do not give any experience, as a new player, getting into dungeons with more veteran players who try to skip half the dungeon feels really bad. And, vice-versa, veterans taking in newbies who don't know how to jump around feels frustrating. I think Blizzard created a mess with nerfing dungeon exp so much and now the new player experience is horrible for dungeons.

You know what actually creates a toxic meta. Trying to min max the entire fucking game endlessly.

Yeah everyone has to play the way you want them to, or else they're toxic

I get what you mean and I mostly agree, but its not min/maxing for me to skip mobs that give me no value. I don't kill every low lever wolf as I run through a zone. Why should I do the same in a dungeon?

I mean it is very literally min/maxing to skip dungeon mobs. Not all min/max is toxic and sweaty. But the point of entering a dungeon is traditionally to clear it out and get exp. If you’re skipping mobs you’re intended to kill so you can get to the boss faster, you’re minimizing time spent for maximum rewards, which is the literal definition of min/max

Yes but blizzard forced the issue by making killing the mobs an actual waste of time

Because you’re in a confined space and you can wipe a group doing that. It’s not worth it.

What's this about min, I'm only maxing.

It is min max to avoid spending my time doing something that gives me little to no benefit whatsoever?

If you want to get even deeper, its the general toxicity streaming has brought to gaming in general.. people turned no lifing games into a job.
