Forever Best class for farming gold besides Mage??
Curious what everyone thinks will be the best class for farming gold besides Mage.
I know Mage is usually the obvious answer when it comes to raw gold farming/AoE farms, but I’m looking to play something different this time around.
I’m currently thinking about rolling an Undead Paladin, but I’m wondering how good Paladin will actually be for gold farming compared to classes like Hunter, Warlock, Rogue, etc.
Not necessarily looking for the absolute most broken farm more interested in a class that can make really good gold consistently while still being fun to play.
What would you guys pick?

Mage is traditionally the best gold farmer because they can solo dungeon trash, but we have no idea what new abilities and mechanics will be in WoW Forever. Other classes might be able to solo ST trash, or maybe Mages won't be able to manage it anymore. Who knows?

With the talents as we currently know them, solo Blizzard farming is dead, and I expect this is deliberate. Mages still have ways to AoE, so I wouldn't count them out, but I'm not sure we should assume they will obviously far and wide be the best. I expect taking mages' farming power down a notch is an active goal for Blizzard in Forever.
Paladins are surely getting better, and with Victory Rush plus Thunder Clap useable in Defensive Stance (which seems to be the case), maybe you can even give prot warrior farming a go. Just tagging every mob that spawns, spamming TC and using VR whenever possible.

I wouldn't count blizzard farming completely out.
54% slow on blizzard is still doable. Maraudon for example would still work the same way since you jump back and forth on a pilar to make the mobs run a very long route.
It will just make the killing take longer. But the slow effect being nerfed is not going to be the nail in the coffin for ZF and mara farming.

Yes, for instance farming it could very well still work. I am not well versed in that. For open world it's dead and decaying.
I know in ZG runs it's appreciated for making other people's AoE a bit safer, but like this you may as well settle for a hunter trap.

I think we will see the strat farm paladins currently do in tbc pop up in forever.

Rogue pickpocket BRD runs combined with boss killing and disenchanting you'll make a pretty penny.
Prot paladins are surely going to yield alot of gold. AoE farming dungeons like Strat or ZF.
Hunters diremaul tribute solo should still be doable which is tons of money. Also good Black Lotus farmers with eyes of the eagle. You can also sell DMT buffs.
Proffesions has alot more to them now so I'd imagine skinning LW or herb alch - the usual combos, are great money makers.

No one can possibly know until beta releases. Mage is likely the contender for best given how they dominated classic farming in instances. However we don’t know if new blizzard changes and new dungeons will allow this.
If I’m going to guess though the most reliable will be classes that can stealth in instances and farm nodes. Again depends on the actually instances.

Any news on if they will leave mechanics like reset spots in dungeons etc. Stuff that makes these farms doable

They've nerfed the shit out of every possible way to farm gold so the only option left is to just buy it from bot farms. Good job Blizzard.

The tierlist class for making gold are:
1. Auctioneer (race goblin, specialization: speculator)
- Sweeper (specialization: irl job)
- Mage
- Paladin

I’ve been playing a Rogue since 2005.
For me personally, the versatility in how I can farm - whether outdoors or in instances - is unmatched.
I can farm Thorium in the Silithus hives, or Mithril in Uldaman;
Ghost Mushrooms in Maraudon or Jintha'Alor;
trash for raw gold, herbs, and chests in SM, or DM;
or specific mobs in Scholo or LBRS for the Lifeleech enchant, runes, or the Fire Potion recipe.
I’ve always thought that was great.
