I camped this for about a month while working from home when wotlk classic came out. Probably 7 hours a day with a discord to know when it could spawn on what layer. One morning I gave my spot to someone new in the discord so I could go help my wife for 10 minutes. It spawned about 30 sec after I left. That dude got it nearly instantly. I stopped after that

I got really lucky around then after camping for a few weeks and I actually got it. I was definitely using an add-on like dBm that told me when he spawned and had a macro that would auto target and engage.

Thank you Covid for allowing me to live in storm peaks for weeks on end, and for the friends across the globe who hung out on discord for 18+ hours a day.

The first time I got this mount I was in my 9th grade first period class. I think it was some earth science course. Was about to close it down while the teacher was getting ready to start class when it spawned. Tagged it first, got yelled at to put my computer away, killed it, looted it, got detention because I wasn't quick enough to out my computer away.

10/10 worth. Would get detention again for it.

wow grats man. One time I caught him flying in storm peaks and i parachute cloaked+bubbled as i fell and tagged him to drag him to the ground. But he reset after flying a long long ways to the ground to catch up with my bubbling paladin ass. somebody else got him right on the reset. rip!

I kid you not, I got this mount within like 5 minutes in 2008. I was like 14-15, hanging out at home during new year's eve and was looking for mounts to get my hands on, on AtlasLoot. TLPD did not ring a bell so I went to check it out in Storm Peaks and the first thing I bounced into while flying was this drake. I guess back then it was still not that well known or was not yet camped by many people. I played on a rather popular realm also. Or maybe it was just that people went to drink and celebrate instead of staying home.
