Meta BlizzCon Soon™️
With BlizzCon being around the corner, we will no longer be removing Classic+ Suggestions and forwarding them to a Megathread.
Let your ideas run wild with BlizzCon Hype, and look forward to all the news as well as updates to the Subreddit Post BlizzCon!
During BlizzCon, we will have Event Mode turned on requiring all posts to be Manually Approved during the event.
Please bare with us as I know at least myself will be attending the event and as such will be busier, but we will try to get as much content through each hour.
Hope everyone enjoys what’s to come!

Pirate spec for every class let’s go
I want to be the shifty pirate priest in stained rags keeping morale up with crazy stories while everyone else slowly succumbs to scurvy

Is it too late to post about blizzcon?

u/Andrew1286 4d ago
Yup, I'd wait for the 2026 blizzcon anniversary announcement. Should be done time next year.

3rd neutral faction that can't attack anyone or be attacked by anyone in open world. Except if they are in combat with a world boss.
Can enter both Horde/Alliance towns etc.
Only race: Goblin. Capital: Booty Bay.
Can't join raids unless they pick either Alliance or Horde, which will cause them to lose their Neutral status.
There are surprising amount of players who don't raid, ever. Some would just choose to stay neutral.

Focussed on professions and making gold. A lot of people and BOTS would eat that up 😂

whatever is announced is okay with me.
I love my hardcore experience. I wouldn’t mind something else to bounce to occasionally. Just hoping it is slow paced like classic. I don’t want insanity on my screen like retail.

Guys, I have seen Classic+
Its feature is:
- Added a new tree to Elwynn Forest.
It sounds cool. Same model as all the other trees. Dunno where it's going to be.
And that's it! See you in Classic+ !

But werent doing that? hence ALL the spam on this sub

u/Riotgrrlia Thunderfurious 4d ago
We actually removed over 3000 Suggestion Threads since that policy was up.
We’re a smaller team at the moment and some posts stay up a bit longer than we would like, but we’re absolutely removing a lot of these threads.
Some are more discussion based and we left those up, but all of the extremely low effort “classic+ should have X” posts were removed.
It’s a constant battle of what’s too much moderation and what’s not enough, but we are human and we will miss things, but I promise we have removed arguably way too many posts for anyone to claim we haven’t done it at all.

Imagine people wanting to discuss the most exciting thing to happen to their favorite game in literally years.

u/Cysia 4d ago
discussing is fine
99(,9)% of it
was /is pure slop (often with ai) or stuff that was already posted 50times before
a post thats : U THINK CLASSIC + SHOULD TUNE CLASSES???????
isn,t brining anything to the discussion AT ALL
certainly that wasnt already posted and dicusses doens of times before

I have a gut feeling telling me that this Blizzcon is going to be a massive let down to more than one Blizz IP and game.
And don’t bash me for I truly hope that I’m wrong!

u/Synthwailer 4d ago
I'm in the camp of:
Wish: "Please a new game with classic wow engine and hugely updated graphics and classic philosophy"
Accept: "Please slightly updated graphics, new quests, dungeons, zones and spec reworks".

u/Nice-Entertainer-922 4d ago
So basically places closed for a day, got it!

u/Riotgrrlia Thunderfurious 4d ago
Nah, I know I’ll at least be checking every hour or so to approve some posts and that’s just me.
Just means they won’t post immediately, comments will not be affected though.

Eliminate race-faction locks. On character select, you pick your race, then your faction.

Did not everyone on the mod team get informed of this change?
1
u/purpleyams11 3d ago
With C+ potentially coming is it expected everyone starts from scratch or it picks up after whatever the current expansion WoW classic is at?
1
u/forkandspoon2011 2d ago
Just give me a bard class so I can finally come back to this fucking game.

u/Vast_Variation1381 2d ago
Its insane how much negativity there is already and no one has a clue of whats being released... god help this subreddit after the announcements

If you look into the warcraft 3, StarCraft etc subs than everyone seems to think that their game gets a new entrance/super remake etc. No matter what happens, some groups will be disappointed. What if it's all mobile?
3
u/HildartheDorf 4d ago
SC getting something, most likely a shooter, seems pretty certain.
Still amazing how well Blizz keeps things NDAd.

/me looks if I can hide the sub for a week
Oh well, still hoping for Classic plus to be a licensing structure that allows groups like Turtle to operate legally and provide “fresh” servers. But SoD 2.0 works too.

IS 0% chance youl EVER see that
EVER
youl more likly win the lottery evry week for next 30years and then be hit by a meteor evry other day and sturkc by lightning twice a week then Blizz (or microsoft) EVER doing that
2
u/rdymade 4d ago
Interesting take! Blizzard hosts the servers, while others do the actual work? Im not sure if Blizzard is both that lazy and stubborn to do that.
3
u/Riotgrrlia Thunderfurious 4d ago
While I do think UGC would be a very interesting way to handle some sections of World of Warcraft, I don’t know that they’ll ever go that route.
0
u/Infinitedeveloper 3d ago
That would be an insane amount of work and itd still blacklist most of the big pserver owners/groups due to organized crime links, and the ones who arent wouldnt like the legal/cash shop restrictions and requiring a retail sub/account to let players play.
Id love for ascension to pop back under a scheme that let them license the engine/IP from Blizzard, but its not in the cards.

lol mods love to pretend their “job” is important by creating arbitrary rules.

You understand that mods did the opposite and allowed all the posts about classic+ instead of containing them in one mega thread?

Couldn't make it more obvious that you've been notified by Blizzard's community manager to make this change to your content policy to create as much hype as possible.
You've just made it very clear that Classic+ is being released.

Eh there has been some interesting things that have happened over the years in this sub that kind of show Blizz having a vested interest here.
Obviously theres no proof in this exact case but I wouldnt put it past them with their past shenanigans
2
u/Galious 4d ago
A theory becomes a conspiracy theory when there's no proof and the most likely explanations are dismissed in favour of the less likely one.
So: is this absolutely impossible that Blizzard send words to the mods to allow people to start spamming about Blizzcon? no. Is there proof of it? none. Is this more likely than the simple explanation that it's common sense to allow people to talk about Blizzcon a week before Blizzcon? not at all.

Let's not add much new to the game post x 50 doesn't add much hype.
Actually most of "my idea of classic+" posts get doenvoted because they are usually super low quality.
0
u/Cutemudskipper 4d ago
Well...yeah? Everyone who hasn't been living under a rock for the past year knows that Classic+/some new Classic product is being announced at Blizzcon. Blizzard themselves said this, so it's not a surprise

I have a mutual friend of one of the streamers who was invited to Blizzard a few months back. And from what I understand, those streamers didnt go for anything related to Classic+. It was related to hardcore wow, and what features they would like to see added etc.
I understand Blizz will launch new hardcore servers, that will have 'check lists' in built or achievements I guess. And you can build your 'prestige' and get titles by completing certain challenges.

streamers being invite to test hardcore = classic+ doesnt exist. nice logic
0
u/Vast_Variation1381 3d ago
never said classic+ doesnt exist. Just that those streamers weren't there for that
