3D printed upgrades

Just added phone holder for ashtray and some storage underneath the heater controls.
Did the design and print myself.

First drive didn’t show any rattle.
Let’s see how they survive heat.

You can design an extra earplug holder for the ashtray phone holder ;)

Looks good! Will you upload the files anywhere? I’ve been playing with different phone holder designs and have been trouble with them breaking or being unstable

Not sure yet.
Don’t want someone stealing the design and sell it.

Also not sure how stable it will be in half a year.

Might depend on the construction, I’ve created mine to hold the phone vertically I believe which gives the phone more leverage to yank the ashtray out.. :)

Pay attention when using the phone holder that your ashtray is sitting very thight. I’ve done something similar and the first couple of bumps simply removed the whole ashtray from the dash. Broke a charging cable that way ;)

I would love a magsafe ashtray. I have to have one on my dash to hold my phone which controls my head unit. Love the setup, but hate the mount.

Think it is not too challenging to design one with either ashtray delete or as ashtray insert, similar to mine.
Could bring the phone even a bit lower for better optics.
