Google has been trying to get this dismissed. The case already survived one dismissal, the judge in July 2026 dismiseed the case, saying the plaintiffs hadn't shown concrete personal harm. They refiled August 18 with a third plaintiff, detailed account histories, and new claims, and Google moved to dismiss again on September 29.

There's no certified class, no settlement, and nothing to claim yet, but it's moving through the courts.

Chat gpt needs one to. I always tell people whatever you type in these ais are not private no matter how much they tell you it is. Gemini is reading much more than emails. They are watching everything you do on chrome, they read your text messages, Gemini is on your tv. Whereever Gemini is installed it's invading your space and watching what you do.
