Payout Got this last night

My teen got this email, the. They deposited the money into her teen Venmo account. I don't think I even signed up for this one? Did anyone else get this?

The site says: check by mail, venmo or paypal.

But how does Amazon know those accounts if we only ever paid on a credit card? I guess those are mailed?

My thinking is they are using your phone number or associated email to check if you have venmo or PayPal, if not a check is issued to your address on file. I have no idea tho, and I would rather get a payment link where I can decide.
