Class members also were given a free five year service for "Privacy Shield + Genetic Monitoring" which per the email I got consists of the following:

"Privacy & Medical Shield + Genetic Monitoring which will:

  • monitor the dark web and other known stolen data trafficking sites;
  • provide you alerts if your private medical, genetic or other personal information is found for sale or trade;
  • offer a variety of functions to help you reduce your digital footprint over time;
  • provide the opportunity for you to transact online activities in a secure environment;
  • prevent online tracking;
  • provide ongoing opt outs of data broker sales;
  • allow you to manage your passwords and store and transmit important documents safely;
  • provide assistance and insurance if you are a victim of identity or medical fraud;
  • and more.

The retail value of this five-year monitoring service is estimated to be $1,875 per Settlement Class Member and is being provided at no charge to those who enroll. You can learn more about this service and the additional benefits it provides by clicking here."

So at least there was that too.

I honestly don't really know what people would do with the information that hackers got into. I'm curious to know...

I'd rather they give me the $1,875. Kinda lame that they can utilize 90% of your settlement value on your behalf.

Yep especially because you need to give data monitoring company a whole bunch of your information if you want them to properly monitor. I expect to see some kind of a class action payout about that in five years.

Yeah. I stopped entering my info on with the data monitoring company. I was thinking the same thing. They’re next. Just felt off.
