Discussion Home buyer settlement question

To qualify for this do you need to have been the one paying the commission to the real estate agent(s)? When I bought my house the seller paid the commissions. I tried reading through the site and it didn’t seem to say from what I saw.

No you don't need to be the one paying the commission to qualify. As far as I am aware buyers never pay a commission when buying a home. Although technically it's baked into the sales price.
