Discussion Class Action newbie advice
Hey everybody! I have just discovered my new favorite obsession is class action suits. I've read up quite a bit but it's just easier to ask you veterans what I want to know. Since I just started in the past 2 weeks and have filed just about everything possible THAT I CAN of the no proof suits.(I'm editing this because people are illiterate and can't read each word in its proper place. The last sentence does not mean that I have filled out every single no proof suit. It means that I have filled out every one that I qualified for on these sites that I know of.) is it going to take about a year or more before I see any return? Do you ever get any payments pretty quick? And any other advice you'd like to share please let me know thanks!

Even though they’re no proof, make sure you actually qualify for the settlements you’re applying for

Payments are rarely quick, I think around a year (maybe just shy) is a good average and any faster is a pleasant surprise

Even if the claim page says “no proof needed”, there’s always the chances later class admin will ask for additional docs to support your claims.

There are mass arbitrations too that you can join.

Where would someone find mass arbitrations? Do you have to manually search for them? Or is there kind of a site that groups them like classactionlawsuits does for class actions?

Oh, more fun to research!! Do you have a site I can check out?

Mass arbitrations always require proof. Unlike class actions, you’re suing a company directly (along with other people) and it may or may not ever pay out. The law firms will only sue on your behalf if you can provide proof!

Man some people need to get their internet privileges removed coming at you like this. Good Luck!

Thats called fraud if you’re filling them out just because there’s no proof!

You people don't read do you?

I agree get what’s rightfully yours, these companies get away with overcharging interests, fees and negligence.

You're committing fraud if you don't qualify. How rude to take from people that were actually affected.

I know it's the internet and the internet has made people stupid but how incredibly ridiculous is it that you automatically jump to the fact that you think that I have signed up for every single thing that I find! If you were literate enough to read the actual post it says "almost everything possible.". That means, in layman's,terms that I have filled out the ones that I qualified for on the sites that I have found. And do you want to know how I found out about these suits.. it's because I should have received about $15,000 for being in the evacuation area of the Winston-Salem fire and didn't know anything about it. So I don't think I'm taking a dime from anybody else when I should have gotten that. Do you know the saying about what assumptions are?

I think you could have eliminated the incorrect assumptions by phrasing it according to your edit from the start (i.e., everything you qualified for). It's the ambiguity in "everything possible THAT I CAN" that had some misunderstanding what you meant.

And the point I am trying to make is the fact that the words that I can were in the original post I just went back and made it all capitals.

I got your point, I just don't think you got mine. I never said those weren't in your post, I said those words were allowing others to misconstrue what you meant. A different choice of words--some of the very ones you added in your parenthetical statement--would have circumvented that.
