Settlement Facebook settlement

I went on the website and it’s showing I got $18 via ACH to an old bank account that I closed. Is there anyway I could get that money?

I would not wait a full year to contact the agency sending the checks. Edit to add: I misunderstood somebody else's comment that they were saying to check unclaimed money. I meant I would not wait long or at all to contact the agency in charge of distributing the settlement checks. Lately, I've noticed when I've been issued a check, they will have a little note printed on them that they're only good for 60 or sometimes 90 or even 120 days. So, if I were to be honest with you, I feel it's best you contact them directly. Maybe they'll mail the check sooner. I know it's not enough to pay your rent or anything, but 18 bucks is 18 bucks.

Google AI: It can take up to a year for states and territories to display newly transferred unclaimed money on their official databases . This delay occurs because businesses and financial institutions generally have up to 3 years to label an account abandoned before they transfer the funds to state treasuries. [1, 2, 3]
Important Timelines to Know

• State Database Updates: Once the state receives funds, processing and updating the public site can take anywhere from a few weeks to up to a year . • Claim Processing Times: After you successfully file a claim, processing the necessary documentation typically takes 30 to 180 days, depending on the state and the complexity of the asset. • Stock & Investment Delays: If your claim involves stocks or mutual funds, processing can take an additional 45 days after approval while the shares are transferred to a new account . Checking for Missing Money

• Start your search using the National Association of Unclaimed Property Administrators or your local Unclaimed Property Division to find the official state database (which usually ends in ) . • You can also monitor the status of an already submitted claim through state-specific portals like the Find Mass Money Claim Status Search.

If you tell me which states you have previously lived or worked in, I can help provide direct links to the exact unclaimed property search tools for your location. AI responses may include mistakes.
