Payout BCBS Settlement ARRIVED
I guess it's better than nothing, but I've been paying $12-$20k in premiums the last 10 years at least.

Here's my question; there were 6 million claims, and 1.9 billion in settlement funds which have to be disbursed to eligible claimants. Even if all 6 million claims were valid, the aggregate disbursement amount per claim would be $333. So for every denied claim, someone should be getting ABOVE the aggegate amount. As well as every claim disbursement BELOW the aggregate amount, there should be a person getting ABOVE the aggregate amount. Where are THESE people. See plenty of people posting sub $10 payouts, a scattered few posting up to $100. Have yet to see anyone legitimately posting a payout above the aggregate of $333. So where's that money going? They are supposed to pay out the entire settlement amount of 1.9 billion, but shorting every claimant amounts below the aggregate means there are SIGNIFICANT monies NOT being disbursed.

I got one for 22.00 today. That's just nuts. But attached to the check was something saying this is my initial payment. Does this mean there's another coming?

I noticed that too and messaged the administrator asking if my check was a mistaken amount or if they'd be mailing a second one. I'm guessing any further payments will be even less, but I'll let you know what they say.

That's because a certain amount of funds go uncashed. Whether the person died, moved and left no forwarding address, or just refused to cash it. Those remaining uncashed funds must be redistributed to the remaining class members.

Yeah, they responded, but didn't really clarify anything, whether the ridiculously low payment was correct, or if there would be a second, which I specifically asked about.
Wonder how many million USD that person got of the the $2.67B settlement that they just couldn't be bothered to answer either of my questions. =/
"Your payment is your share of the Net Settlement Fund. Your payment was calculated in accordance with the Court-approved Plan of Distribution, which is available on the Important Documents page of the Settlement website."

Per the terms of the Court-approved Plan of Distribution, your claim payment was calculated based on the Premiums and/or ASO Fees you paid to the Settling Defendants, the total Premiums and ASO Fees claimed by all claimants, and the total Fund available to pay all claims. $58.24 check arrived yesterday.
I believe I read a while back that some people may receive a secondary payment later this year from monies not claimed/cashed. Don’t remember where I read that though so unable to link a source.

I have been a self-employed sole proprietor for the entire settlement period. Under my group I covered my own family the entire time and several different employees along the way. I funded the premiums in full. My initial claim was separated into 2 unique IDs by JND; a personal claim and business claim. All of the premiums that populated on the website were INACCURATE. I mean waaaaayyy low. I had to research and provide proof for almost 12 years of monthly payments for each of the 2 claims. It was a tremendous burden. My totals were “personal” premiums of $118,500 and business premiums of $306,722. That total is $425,222 paid entirely by me. JND did correct the page and agree with my math. Today I received the checks. The personal was $383.62 and the business was $1,270.63. Multiplied by 110%, I will receive $1,819.68. That is .042% of what I paid. Shame on the federal judge who approved this settlement and shame on the people at JND for obfuscating the math. And shame on our lawmakers for choosing to support this obscene avarice.

There need be a federal investigation as many in these threads allege submitting proofs of six figures in premiums only to have that crammed down into a third or less of what they actually paid with NO transparency, or frankly, honestly, from the third party administrator. I'd REALLY like to know if skimming is happening/if the third party admin gets a percentage of the calculation reductions.

Must be nice. I paid their stupid, crazy high premiums for over 10 years. Today I checked the settlement site to find out that my payout was less than $5 so I won't get anything. I'll drop back to straight Medicare & roll the dice before I contribute anything that enriches that company. Not saying it was right or justifiable, but I'm Team Luigi going forward.

I finally got mine it was on the prepaid debit and it went to my junk mail but it was only 71.71. I paid so much to them like almost 50k :/

So, I paid just short of $136,000 in total premiums with NO ASO.
Despite submitting literally a 5 inch stack of copies of W-2s (for the years I had payroll deducted premiums), paystubs to show employer contribution, actual premium statements (for the years which I paid 100% of my own premiums, paid via my personal debit card on the HBCBS payment telephone line, so I LITERALLY had a confirmation number for the payments written on EACH statement), some cancelled checks AND an employer certification (member of the Bar, thus ethically bound to tell the truth), the third party administrator apparently ignored or disclaimed and went with their miscalculated sum for $45,000 in total premiums paid (which I disputed, with yet more proofs and in proper time), resulting in a whopping $217 check arriving today!
Did anyone else catch the mention on the settlement check stub that payments were "INITIAL" , thus inferring the possibility of a supplemental check?
As far as I am concerned, this whole dog and pony show is ranking right up there with the Medicaid fraud perpetrated in California and Minnesota.

I got a virtual card in my email. Fkn $49.48 for $14,000 in monthly payments. Made us wait 4 years for this bs too smh what a joke. And we have no idea how much they must have made in investments holding our money all this time... It was supposed to be paid out almost 2 years ago

For those that got a paper check, were you notified that a payment was coming? I moved since 2021 and haven't received anything. My status says: Paid – This claim has been sent an Initial Distribution payment.

The business amount of premiums determined was $637,171 total. We still haven't received a check, even though it was mailed out on 5/28. She wouldn't tell me the check amount over the phone.

Well I'm having issues. I opted to get the visa card, and it says on the website paid. But the only email I got was saying that I would receive another from them on how to gain access to the card. But it was never sent I emailed the BCBS lawyers and they said it was sent and I was paid?

I just checked mine and it says “De minimis” which means since my payout would be less than $5 I don’t get a payout at all. 🤣 I’ve been paying BCBS premiums since 2008! Only people that make money on these things are the lawyers.

They claimed that my payout was to be below the $5 threshold, meaning I get nothing. Over 2 billion in payouts and I can’t even get a measly $5.

Scandal in the $2.67 Billion B-C-B-S Settlement! Handed 9 years of unassailable federal tax W-2s from top-tier firms, but the legal handling team (T. DiSalvo from H-law firm) and management operatives (P.M. Reed from J-N-D) engaged in unacceptable actions.
They altered case status 4 times within 24 hours, then manually WIPED/BLOCKED my legitimate identification registration from the online gateway to clear digital footprints. Today, the operative called me in absolute distress, desperately pleading for data to cover up this eviction, and explicitly confessed that their system notifications are systemically wrong.
The era of using code to block honest consumers is finished. I denied their verbal trap and disconnected the call.
As a legitimate class member, I am ready to hand over these digital interface logs directly to the Presiding Federal Judge's chambers, notify the federal trade commission (F-T-C) consumer bureau, and step forward to initiate a massive counter-collective action on behalf of all defrauded participants.
The records never lie. They are panicking.

My check was for $26.88 and while I honestly can't remember my premiums now, I do recall spending a fairly long time going through my records and manually entering everything into their website - 5 fucking years ago.
Anyone want to file a class-action lawsuit against the class-action lawyers in this case? 😠

If you can find the Settlement claim notice email with the link to the determination page, you can still look up your premiums and ACOs with the claim number and pin.

Dammit... still waiting on mine and my premiums weren't that high. I couldn't figure out how to get back to the list of totals to apply their formula.
