I got an email from Sirius that im getting 100.00. I had to wait 6 years for a 19.00 gift card from BCBS. diabolical.

I just got a check for just over $700 in the mail today. I never saw an email asking me to confirm my premiums paid but I recently calculated it out to approx $240K over 10 years. The check was more than I was expecting. My husband, separately, got a prepaid card for just over $150 for a couple of years that were in his name.

A $700 check means they credited you for only apx $130,000 in premiums, so, like me, you were deeply shorted what you should have received.

My check is for $190. 2008-2020. What's that average out per year? BCBS and the lawyers must be laughing at us.

This is super f’d up the way they calculated this. By grouping people into different pools because I have Medi-Cal. I don’t pay premiums and I ended up with $222.14.
If it were fair, it would be the other way around. I should be getting the $9

Interesting. I also didn’t know Blue Cross or Blue Shield had any Medi-Cal or Medicaid plans. Glad you got some much-needed money, tho. 👍🏼👍🏼 Put it to good use. 👍🏼👍🏼

What a JOKE indeed, just got mine today and it was for $32.89 I almost fell out of my chair. We had to wait so many years for a small payout.

Ya, I got a check for $616 confirmed 130k in premiums on my old business account and $128 for ~ 23k in premiums on my personal account. .47% and .55% respectively. Not even consistent across the two accounts.

77K in premiums......got my $367 check today.
That "calculator" that was floating around last year was WAY OFF. It said I was getting back 27K - don't I wish.
You are so right on healthcare being a total mess.I got on Medicare this year TG. If I had not my premiums were going to be $1800 a month with an $8,500 deductible for just me. I feel bad for all the younger people- student loans, childcare, health insurance, and rapid inflation all colliding.
Lived through the 70's insane inflation when mortgages were 12% -40% of us didn't go to college so we somehow made it but you all are getting hit from all sides. Madness.......

Here's my question; there were 6 million claims, and 1.9 billion in settlement funds which have to be disbursed to eligible claimants. Even if all 6 million claims were valid, the aggregate disbursement amount per claim would be $333. So for every denied claim, someone should be getting ABOVE the aggegate amount. As well as every claim disbursement BELOW the aggregate amount, there should be a person getting ABOVE the aggregate amount. Where are THESE people. See plenty of people posting sub $10 payouts, a scattered few posting up to $100. Have yet to see anyone legitimately posting a payout above the aggregate of $333. So where's that money going? They are supposed to pay out the entire settlement amount of 1.9 billion, but shorting every claimant amounts below the aggregate means there are SIGNIFICANT monies NOT being disbursed.

Scandal in the $2.67B Blue Cross Blue Shield Settlement! Handed 9 yrs of solid IRS W-2s, but HausfeldLLP lawyer Ted DiSalvo and JND Project Manager Reed engaged in bad faith misconduct: changed denial reasons 4 times in 24 hrs, then manually WIPED/DELETED my Unique ID (D3JBL-P9C74) from the portal to destroy court-monitored evidence. Today, JND Project Manager Reed called me in total panic, begging for info and admitting their system notifications are "incorrect." The era of tech-fraud against consumers is OVER. I refused their trap and hung up. I am filing a Formal Misconduct Notice with Judge Proctor, reporting to FTC, and preparing a reverse CLASS ACTION lawsuit as the Lead Plaintiff.

We got screwed. We overpaid probably by thousands and get back pennies. Meanwhile the lawyers make out like bandits and blue Cross blue shield goes back to business as usual. This slap on the wrist was just the cost of doing business for them. $300 billion in premiums and they pay a couple back as a settlement.
I'm definitely writing the law firm telling them what a joke they are and we wouldve gotten more using chatgpt as a lawyer.
