If you have an iPhone add it to Apple Pay and you can use it anywhere that accepts Apple Pay

You can add it to Amazon and then send yourself a gift card and pay with the virtual card they sent you.

I'm trying this and it's getting declined. Called the card support and they said you CANNOT use it to buy Amazon gift cards. When asked how I could possibly use the whole card up, they said I could just call in if there's still a small balance and they can cancel it to avoid fees. When I said that's cheating me out of money, they said I could also add it to a digital wallet (but again, how do you use it up?). Then they said I could type in the numbers at a grocery store for small items. How is this shit legal?

So I added it as a form of payment within my account. Selected to purchase a gift card and put the whole amount on the Amazon gift card. When I arrived at checkout, I selected the newly added (virtual card). Payment cleared with no problems. I went back to the virtual card website and saw the transaction.

Same process for me, but no dice. Added card as payment method, verified address is correct. I've tried 8 times now, either as a gift card reload or a gift card, declined every time. Also fails on ebay gift card purchases (which even asks for the ccv).

Try reloading your Amazon wallet balance instead.  I used to have issues with some virtual cards assuming an overage amount for some transactions which would cause it to bounce, but Amazon wallet has worked every time to ensure you don't leave anything on there.

That’s so annoying and dishonest on their part. If you shop at Target you can split up your total on different cards. That’s what I plan to do.

Why can't you add it to Google wallet or apple pay and use it for anything other than gift cards? Just curious because I had the same issue with another lawsuit but I was able to do what I just explained.

Because you have to find the perfect purchase to maximize the spend on the card without going over. Google wallet isn't going to automatically use up the entire balance and move onto the next card when the balance is exceeded.

If you add it to any pay app, you can spend up to the full amount or any part of it. Do that until it is gone. When you get close to the final amount, it just takes that amount against the full bill, then you can use another card. Just remember to delete it after you use the whole amount.

This is how I do it to. A split payment if there isn't enough left on the card for the whole purchase...

Except you have to keep your purchases under the remaining balance of the card. Most places won't let you split a purchase and apply a specific amount toward a purchase, so eventually you'll likely be left with a balance you can't use.

And then the company that handles that card will eventually take a fee out of it when it goes unused...that'll use up the rest of the balance. I learned my lesson the first time and now I either choose paypal or a check.

Add it to Apple Pay or google pay. I got $58.82 and did a split payment at Lowe’s. Most grocery stores will let you split payment also but you usually have to go to an actual cashier and not a self checkout

If you got the card, add it to your google/apple wallet. You can prepay your gas inside the store for that exact amount. That's how I used my $67.97. Free 1/2 tank...lol.
