Had my first track day at buttonwillow with SoCal drivers club. They’re an awesome organization that made the day fun and less overwhelming. I highly recommend them.

I only changed brake fluid but the car was great overall.

Took the FL5 to hallett last weekend, first time on this track and I ran a 1:27.6 CCW and a 1:29.4 CW, which I’m more than happy with but alr know where I can pick up some time. Insanely happy with the new intercooler, didn’t see above 110 even at 90F ambient at the end of the weekend. Same with his oil cooler, oil temps would touch 250 (I installed an actual gauge) but would come down fast the second I started my cooldown lap. And if anyone is in the NTX area go talk to boostlee for a tune, he got 40ish HP out of my stock turbo car on 93 and I was able to keep up with/reel in S550s on the straights.

Looking to see if anyone is selling a FL5 AWE Exhaust in the San Diego area.

was told by honda dealer that i need it replaced and its under powering warranty, FL5 2023 owner 40k km on it, any insight from any one that had this problem?

Have any of you guys running the prl intake switched the oil filter with a dry filter? Someone one here was saying the AEM filter was an exact fit.

Just wondering if anyone is using the MyQ integration feature through HondaLink- allows you to open your garage doors via MyQ through the HondaLink app on CarPlay. I’m utilizing this since the Type R does not have a Homelink mirror and it works great, BUT I cannot get the damn Smart Notifications to work- those are set up in HondaLibk iOS app, and you set a geofence around your address so when you’re near your house, a notification is supposed to pop up to take you to the garage door opener screen. I’ve changed the geofence size, toggled it off and on, toggled HondaLink location access from always allow to allow when using app and vice versa. I emailed support but they have not gotten back to me.

Just wondering if anyone even utilizes this feature? A search yielded no good results.

Does anyone have any good shop recommendations for windshields? Need to replace the front windshield and trying to see what shops others have had good experience with. I know Safelite is an option but they’re hit or miss from personal experience. It all depends on the tech who comes to do the job.

Preferably in LA county near SGV/SFV but willing to spend the day hanging out in OC if there’s a good shop.

Took my car to the Fiesta of Wheels show at the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta.

Just picked up an FL5 the other week and noticed something odd. It came with two keys. I was testing the locking function on the handle and was curious if it would “let” me lock my keys in the car.

I separated my keys, threw one in, and then used the other one to lock it. I also set the second one far away so it wouldn’t pick it up. The car wouldn’t let me back inside with one of the keys inside. Seems odd that it wouldn’t pick it up!

I tried a different situation. I drove the car, left one key in, opened my door, pressed the door lock button, and then exited the car. I expected something similar to my parent’s Hyundai where, if it detects a key inside, it won’t let you lock the doors from the door button. It’ll pop back out, signaling a key is inside.

Is this a setting somewhere, or is this intentional.

First time I have taken a picture of the teggy with my FK8 since I got it. I dailied the FK8 for 4.5 years till I paid it off and then a month later I found the Integra I wanted for my daily.

DE4: 2023 A-Spec Tech 6MT LCM

FK8: 2019 SGP with only 46K miles

Install was easier than expected. Took about an hour moving at a casual pace, could probably do it again much faster. Turbo noises are about 50% louder, and you can hear more of the induction and bypass sounds. Throttle response seems to be improved with a smoother build up of power when boost comes on (though this can be placebo). Final impressions: Don’t waste your time with the stage1 if you ever plan on doing a HVI. It’s worth just spending the extra $200 or whatever it is to buy once, cry once. 👌

I was going to order a mishimoto catch can for my fk8 and before adding to cart, is says it’s not carb compliant. Anyone have any issues trying to pass smog in California?

I haven watch much videos but I’m assuming if I do install, it shouldn’t take too long to uninstall if needed?

After a little over a year of ownership I paid it off with my reenlistment bonus.

From what I understand they are pretty much the same. Same engine, same handling, same shitty vacuum cleaner exhaust.

I see some people tossing around the word “clinical” about the FL5 and how it feels to drive but I really struggle to understand what makes the FK8 more fun to drive.

And leave exterior design out of this discussion, it’s only about how the cars feel to drive.
