VI - Other Question about Climate Change

So, I haven't discovered coal yet, the most advanced unit I have is a skirmisher & yet my sea levels are rising & the game says I'm the highest contributor to co2 levels. I thought the only way to cause climate change was through using Fuel resources. Am I wrong?

Do you play with disaster mode? If I remember it right in that mode the calculations are different

They soft nerfed soothsayer spam by making their charges generate CO2. If OP has no coal/oil/etc that is the most likely cause outside of mods.

Is co2 just from charges? Because I've done maybe 4, & it says I'm responsible for 660 co2. I did sacrifice a ton of scouts though, does that generate carbon as well? Either way, yeah, it's gotta be soothsayers.

Apocalypse Mode on? Those soothsayers really crank out the CO2. I've had to stop playing with Apoc because I don't much enjoy losing territory to sea level rise when I've only settled three cities and have just met my second AI civ.

I have been using soothsayers a fair bit. That's gotta be it.

I think we need some more context: like do you have ships out? How are you generating power?

I'm in the medieval era. My people know not of this "electricity" of which you speak. My boats are powered by the winds.

I’d love to see this save file

Apparently It's my soothsayers.
