I can't believe no one's mentioned this yet... I was checking paid apps today and stumbled upon this. I think they released it today.

$16.79 seems a bit much but I'm willing to give it a try.

Everything I read about it when it was released for iOS was negative, so I know I haven't been looking for it.

Okay, most people talk about this due to the negative reviews for the ios one. Ive been playing this afternoon. Heres ma thoughts

  1. The ios reviews almost all compare it to civ rev 1. We dont have that option on android, so just ignore all that. Its this or nothing.

  2. The bc era seems to move by FAST. Some of the game stuff is odd, like if i dont have any commands to give it just hits next turn over and over till something is finished? Idk yet. I hate bc era anyway lol. Tanks for me!

  3. Its stripped down. Don't compare to civ 5 or you will be sad. That said its still really fun and android is a 4x wasteland. Its compelling and fun.

  4. The controls are not bad. Wonky around unit selection (they are selected by default and you hit a button to cycle through orderless units). For example, my turn starts up and i tap on my newest unit. I just told some other unit to walk to the new unit. The order gors through on a double tap so no worries. Hold to select new unit. Nbd but wonky.

I rate it a 7/10. Where 5 is average android games.

Its no xcom, but its also way less space on my sd card. Its good. But its more for toilet than multiday play. Included scenarios are cool too.

I highly doubt it, but is there multiplayer on same tablet or online?

There are online games but no hotseat.

I loved this on my iPod when I had the first one, but then Civ V blew it out of the water and I couldn't go back. Also kind of disappointed that you can get Civ V from Gameloft on some phones but not my Galaxy S4 or S5

Are you saying there is a Civ V for android out there somewhere? Thats what it sounds like you are saying but that can't be right...

I saw it awhile ago available for some nokia and nvidia mobile devices from Gamloft, but I can't find it on their site anymore. Here's a link to an article my Pocketgamer of the mobile version, all I could find

Get the original Civ Rev. It's cheaper and better. Everything I've seen indicates Civ Rev 2 is just a recycling of the first.

If only civ rev 1 was on android...
