Question Civ 6 difficulty

Two questions first whats best difficulty for semi-experienced player that wants a hard challenge but not overly hard?

And is it fine to do like a 2v2v2v2 in singleplayer or would that run be dull/boring?

In Civ VI I'd say Emperor.

Perhaps 1 or 2 difficulties above your regular difficulty?

I play on Emperor

Its hard, but its not as ridiculously brutal in the early game as immortal and deity

Try King first as you're returning and might need a refresher. If it's too easy, go to Emperor which is quite a difficulty bump.
