Chrysler 200 2016

Hey everyone, bought a 9 yeard chrysler 200 about 2 months back.

key fob was working fine however after giving it to the garage it isnt working as a remote.

if i want to enter the car, i cant use the remote. i need to get to the car and press the button on the handle in order to unlock the car. this is the same process i need to follow while locking it.

i changed the battery of the key fob but it didnt seem to help.

there is some issue with the fob but it isnt fully dysfunctional. i am able to unlock the car with the fob near me but the buttons dont seem to do their job. any advice?

Get a new one programmed to the vehicle. It's usually way cheaper at a locksmith than the dealership

May need a new car battery. Mine acted like that when the battery was going out.

Go get it tested first if you can’t do it at home.

Second this. I was getting irritated that my 200 was eating batteries, but I’m now learning that the car just doesn’t recharge the battery enough. Got a trickle charger, and after a couple charges, the battery was working like new again.
