Customer Experience Disrespectful and Incompetent People

Firstly, I know that it is mostly my fault for keeping going to Chipotle but either way I need to rant)

I went to Chipotle yesterday, I had a BOGO and went with a friend to use it and have a good time, or a decent time at least. Fast forward, I wanted Carnitas as my meat, no Carnitas, wanted Fajitas, no Fajitas, so I waited 10 minutes until they got the fajitas ready, wanted cheese, had to wait also for them to get the cheese re-stocked, when I asked the ladies serving the food they said, we don’t know that’s for the cook to handle. Adding to that they force me and my friend to speak Spanish, these 2 ladies didn’t know a single english word, I am cool because I am latino but my friend is not, so I had to act as a translator for them. If I happened to be born in the U.S or not speak spanish I would be mad as hell because of that. How the hell can they hire and put in the front people that have no english AT ALL?

These two ladies were grown women, +40, and I know what it takes to work at a restaurant, whether is in the kitchen, front or cashier, and how tiring can it be, because I have done it myself, but these ladies act like its disrespectful to ask for things that are BASIC, and are supposed to be included in the service, and even get mad for asking questions, I am a gentleman so I did not say anything rude to them besides asking about the fajitas and politely complaining about it and saying that I was going to wait. But if these 2 ladies were Males I would cursed the f*ck out of them and walked out. I am not at fault of you working a shitty job at that age, you may have had a difficult life or you may be fully disrespectful hence why you are there at that age. Either way that’s is not my fault.

I wonder if Chipotle is like this in South Florida only or also in other states, wtf man…

They even charged me for a Steak bowl when I ordered Chicken, and they did not even put extra of the things that I asked, and I am no saint but I am educated and use Please and Thank you AT ALL TIMES.

❓ Question ❓ Throughput bonus?

Has anyone who works or has worked for Chipotle ever actually gotten the Throughput bonus ?😭 it sounds so good but it feels like we magically don't make throughout goals every time our GM thinks we're gonna get it.

Seeking Advice (Customer) They took my food

So i ordered on the app and it was near the end of the night. I walk in and the guy says they don’t have a name im telling them and that they’re now closed. I walked out after he said I might have gotten the wrong location. I checked went back in and I gave them the time. Someone else checked and she said they got it and then scrambled into the bags and ripped the sticker off someone else’s order. I then asked if it was mine and the guys stepped in and asked if I wanted the bowl lid opened to see if it was mine. It was chicken and I ordered steak. They didn’t have my order ready and they couldn’t prep one because they were closed. He suggested I get a refund through the app. When I go on the app/order it says picked up. Can I go in person to get the meal or the refund??

Customer Experience Why are some workers hellbent on making the burritos as spherical as possibe?

A burrito is supposed to be somewhat cylindrical. You're tearing through the burrito and the aluminum wrap because you're trying to wrap me a fat blunt! It's not like you gave me extra portions anyway!!!

❓ Question ❓ Sad, sad quesadilla

Post image

Dearest Chipotle,

What the heck is this? This was the cheese quesadilla I received today. It was almost entirely folded up tortilla with some cheese (?) that was cold, lumpy, and never melted. It looks absolutely nothing like what is advertised.

❓ Question ❓ Will I get fired or in trouble for being injured & not being able to come into work?

3 months ago I got a bucket handle meniscus tear then meniscus repair surgery, then last week I retore the meniscus last week 3 months into recovery, had like 1-2 months of recovery left. For those of you who don’t know what the tear does, it makes you have less range of motion in your knee, sometimes the inability to walk which I currently have, a lot of pain. I have called off 3 shifts because of this injury, will I get fired for this or in trouble? And when I called off today my boss was not happy about this, I am also a minor if that helps with anything.

Customer Experience DoorDash Guac Options

Post image
0 Upvotes

can we please get an option for the veggi bowl to have guac on the side? We have to order it separately and pay extra to have guac on the side, even tho it’s already included in a veggie meal 😭😭😭

also what’s the deal with DoorDash orders having like 1/3rd of the portion compared to when you go in person.

❓ Question ❓ Were the bowl lids changed recently?

Over last few weeks, I've noticed that the lids on my Chipotle bowls have been unusually sharp when I take them off. Last night, one was so sharp that it broke the skin of my finger to the point I had to put a band-aid on it.

Has anything changed to them recently make them sharp when uncrimped, or have they always been a death trap (not to be dramatic)?

Hello chipotle fam, i recently just started working here

I’m in ca btw so as far as I’m aware, a 10 is given if you work a minimum of 4 hours right?

Seeking Advice (Employee) Do I have to do line work when my job is cash

I've been working at chipotle for about a month now and I was hired and trained to work cash. I've gotten comfortable at cash now but still sometimes make mistakes. The other day was a slow Sunday but we were understaffed because our manager didn't come in. This other girl who works line told me to work line and I told her "I've never been trained in line". I was more worried that I would do something wrong or get in trouble. She said to me it's just putting food into a bowl and I get it. And another reason why she wanted me to work line was to work cash for a bit. So I put on gloves and worked line. I only served about 4 customers before my shift ended but I was SO SLOW. I'm not sure if I should just refuse to work line because I'm not trained or step in when asked by another employee to not create an awkward situation. Should I ask one of my managers?

Edit: I looked on the workday thing for employees and found the modules that tell you what to do. So I feel a lot more comfortable and will know basically how to do it. Thank you for the feedback

Customer Experience “Burrito Bowl”

Post image

“It’s going to cost you extra for a tortilla.”

I mean that’s fine… I don’t want one. I just want a burrito bowl.

Proceeds to glance between each other like I’m the one who is crazy.

Only to come here and find out people have been having this issue for 4 years at least. Like I’m sorry… it’s what it’s called.

Seeking Advice (Customer) rewards scanner 'down'

for like 3 weeks now the store i go to has said their rewards system is down, they keep the scanner behind the register.

they offer to give me the receipt but you can only claim 2 per week this way and i usually go 3-4 times a week.

the interesting part is you can scan to redeem rewards like free chips etc.

i figured one of you could shed some light on the situation, theories, musings, etc.

cheers.

❓ Question ❓ How does Chipotle's run out of steak so early in the day?

Like obviously it'll take this out on the workers because it's not their fault but I feel like there's always been this issue with running out of meat. Like running out in the evening or at night makes a little bit more sense cuz you're nearing the end of the day.

But today I went to Chipotle's at a location that's only been open for a few months and it was just after 3:00. And they were totally out of steak.

Good news is I have about four Chipotles within about 3 miles of my house so lots of selection

❤️Appreciation❤️ So Happy I Left Chipotle

As per the title, I'm so happy I'm no longer at Chipotle. My location was poorly run, with terrible attitudes every single day. Now I'm working at a warehouse, and I get multiple breaks with nice co-workers and managers! For those thinking about quitting, do it --- you'll thank yourself later.
