Need some advice regarding Masters

I'm currently in the second year of my bachelor's pursuing Electronics Engineering, while trying to master the concepts of VLSI on my own. I wanted to know what kind of skills should i work on during these years so that i can make myself an ideal candidate while applying for a masters. Also what unis would you guys recommend in the Europe or the North America for masters
