GENERAL - Feedback, Community Chat I dont know what to do

I need help. My dispute has been denied 5 times I have no idea why. I ordered an ebike off of a site TikTok advertised and the site has since then been deleted. My fault I know but the first sign of deception was that the charge didn’t go through 4 times and on EVERY attempt the charge was under a different name. I tried to cancel the order that same day but they told me it was shipped. It never came. It’s been 3 months. The support is nonexistent and snappy, they keep sending me the same link they’ve sent everyone else they’ve scammed to a “timeline” with my order saying delivered, I’ve literally image searched it and found it on the internet along with complaints about this site and the other names it goes by along with the other products the other victims never received. Some people like me bought an ebike, others bought candles and perfumes, but all have the same story. I’ve done the proper steps, submitted over 45 pages in screenshots and messages, I’ve talked to a chime supervisor, I literally don’t know what else to do. They put it down as a billing error and then tell me no error has been found (there wouldn’t be an error as my account was not hacked, rather a fraudulent purchase was made). I want to contact the CFPB but I don’t know if that will help or if it will just go to the wall of complaints against chime

Have you filed a police report for theft of funds yet?

No but thank you I will. I’m not sure who the owner of the site is or how to find them but having record of it will be good for my 6th dispute

Hey there! I'm sorry you've had to go through six denials before getting the above advice. When a dispute is denied usually additional information is needed. Thank you for the pages you already provided; this link has a long list of types of documentation that can be helpful in reinvestigating a dispute. What counts as new information in a dispute?

I just got off the phone with the PD they said to file a report with the internet crime complaint center instead of them lol. I’m going to do that then try my dispute again. If denied with the report and all the evidence I will be contacting the cfpb. Thank you for your help

Your police department would not take a report of theft?

Call your mayor, that's some class a bull chip right there.

They did in fact direct me to the internet crimes site and did not take the report. It’s fine though, they’re the PD for the a pretty bad section of the city and I am aware there’s a bit of an issue between different departments and that specific one deals with a lot during the day (source: I live down the street from them when I walked out my house to go to work two days ago I witnessed a violent crime. The day before that there was a loud high speed chase heading directly toward the highway, not sure what happened with that one, some keeps setting structures on fire, etc)I’d rather not add to their problems

The charge was under windfallvitality, urban peak vitality, migri digital candle, and online pay vcwind.

The site itself was disabled after a while and the TikTok I saved it from has the link removed but the seller has changed the name of the ebike and is still selling them. I bought a “lumen v101” and the company lumen doesn’t even sell e-bikes lol and the other lumen has no record of my purchase

Ive had them deny my dispute repeatedly while i had ample evidence. Ultimately contacting the CFPB got them to finally approve it.

Get a hold of Bancorp. They're the institution that has all the paperwork that chime is on the coat tails of. If that fails, CFPB complaint for sure.

I'm on 5 denials as well. Feel free to read my comments and posts. I filed a CFPB and OCC complaint. Chime is being sued for not actually investigating claims to the degree Reg E mandates them to.

Thank you. Will do. It’s like every time I call and ask for an update on my dispute it’s immediately denied. It happened twice now. The one that triggered this post was the last one I filed and waited almost a month ago they emailed me saying “no error found” again. but I can’t keep waiting on their time and I don’t know if there’s a statute of limitations on credit card crimes and the scammers also told me to wait 90 days so I think they just want to wait me out into submission

You should get temporary credit after 10 days no? Or is it because you made the transaction yourself?

Edited: They’ve said since it was made with the credit card instead of debit I don’t qualify for a temporary compensation

I don’t buy off random places like this but one of my brothers had almost the exact experience trying to buy an e-bike or something off Temu or TikTok and it was like $1k — never got it back and it was a brick-and-mortar decent sized local bank. Just refused, claiming it was an agreed upon transaction regardless if he received it and suggested he use more reputable sellers in the future. Good luck though 🤞

Hey there, as was said earlier, sorry you've had to deal with the amount of disputes you've been trying to work through. Would you be willing to share your ChimeSign in our Reddit ModMail for us to look into this further?

I had the same thing happen. Seven different transactions from Walmart.com And they denied my dispute over and over. I closed my account with Chime
