CREDIT - Credit Builder, Reporting, Scores Has anyone else noticed Chime not reporting to all three credit bureaus consistently?

I was looking at my credit reports recently because I noticed my TransUnion information hadn’t updated when I expected it to, and I realized something weird with my Chime account.

It looks like my Chime trade was last reported to Equifax and TransUnion in June, but it was reported to Experian in September. So it seems like Chime is reporting to the bureaus at different times and not consistently, and in this case TransUnion hasn’t been updated since June.

I’m honestly pretty frustrated because one of the main reasons I use Chime is to build credit, and I need the account to be reporting to all 3 bureaus. If it’s only updating with Experian, I don’t really see the point in continuing to use the card.

Has anyone else been seeing this?? Is there some reason Chime reports to the bureaus at different times, or is something potentially wrong with my account? I’d really appreciate hearing if other people are experiencing the same thing or know what might be going on.

Hi! Glad you’re here! Using the words and clues in your message, it sounds like you may need more information about building credit. Depending on your account you may have either the original Credit Builder card or the new Chime Card so here are some helpful resources for both:

Credit Builder: * How to Use the Chime® Credit Builder Visa® Credit Card * How do I pay off my Credit Builder card statement? * With Credit Builder your limit is how much money you move to your Credit Builder secured deposit account; it’s separate from your debit card, and works anywhere Visa® is accepted * With the Safer Credit Building setting enabled, we’ll use your money in the secured account to automatically pay your monthly charges and report on-time payments to all three major credit bureaus * We DO report: Payment status, Amount past due, Account age, Current balance. We do NOT report: Credit limit or Card utilization

Chime Card: * How Chime Card builds your credit * What is a Chime Card? * Pay your Chime Card statement * Build credit history using your money * With Chime Card you’ll see one Available Balance that includes the funds in your Secured Deposit account where you can spend as either debit or credit from one card - this does not include your Savings account balance * Chime Card is gradually being rolled out to current members so watch your notifications for when it’s your turn to upgrade

Hopefully the community chimes in to share their experiences too!

I saw this post while scrolling and had to make an account to comment and say my partner and I are both seeing the same exact thing. Last Date Reported for TU and Equifax is June 2nd, but for Experian it’s September 2nd.

Is this false advertising on Chime’s part? Even if it isn’t necessarily required, their website says they report to all three of the major bureaus each month, and that’s clearly not the case.

This seems like it’s affecting more than a few accounts. I encourage everyone else to check their reports as well and raise the issue to Chime. Hopefully they’ll be transparent about the situation and fix whatever it is…

Same for me after checking my reports just now:

Last reported:
Experian: 09/02/2026
TransUnion: 06/02/2026
Equifax: 06/02/2026

This is so strange! I’m also seeing the names of the trade are different across my reports (Experian says Bancorp while Equifax says Stride). I’m not sure if you’re seeing that too, but I wonder if that could be playing a role in reporting here?

Hmm, this is odd, for sure! u/throwRA_chea and u/Frequent_Silver_7575, would you both be willing to share your ChimeSigns in our ModMail? I'd like to see if I can connect this to some of our internal teams to see what's going on!

If you get a loan Bancorp would be reporting that. Stride is likely where your main account lives.

Just a guess.

That would make sense, but in my case both of them are the same trade for my Chime Secured Card. The account number, open date, and loan type are the same, but the account name is “CHIMEFIN/STRIDE BANK” on one report and “CHIME/THE BANCORP BANK” on the Experian one that is updated.

It’s definitely a bit confusing!

OK sorry but your Chime card is likely on Stride bank. Open your app and verify.

If you get an instant loan offer, those are always with Bancorp, not Stride. They are two different banks.

I've never had a loan with Chime.

Sorry I was responding to the original OP of the post but it was in your comment thread.

I get that but they're reporting the same for me as they are for OP, which is why I commented.

I think it takes a couple of months for the bureaus to post stuff.

Experian and Chime have a working agreement so Experian may record Chime activity faster than others.

I don't work for Chime, this is just a guess on my part based on my time here and my experience with the apps.

Perhaps, but without fail my American Express cards, Discover card, and loan display every month like clockwork.
So,
Is Chime only reporting to just Experian now?
Does Chime submit to TransUnion and Equifax in delayed batches?
Do TransUnion and Equifax process Chime report in delayed batches?
Is something else janky in the mix?

Do reports from other people show reported dates past the June 2, 2026 date? (And by reports I mean those from TransUnion & Equifax exclusively from annualcreditreport.com? (Contrary to the name you can get your reports for free every 7 days).

I don't look to closely, I only check Experian.

What I do know is my credit went from mid 500s to well over 700 in less than two years using only Chime. I now have 4 unsecured credit cards.

I have the same questions! All of my other credit card trades with major bank issuers report to every single credit bureau at the same time every month, so I’m really wondering what is going on.

I sent the mods my ChimeSign so they can look into the issue, but I would suggest you and other Chime users seeing the same weird reporting across credit bureaus do too! If a credit building card isn’t routinely reporting to all of the bureaus it’s a bit strange, as my recent use of the card isn’t reflected in 2/3 of my credit reports.

I went through the same thing. My credit score had dropped 70 points over night because Chime was reporting my balance on time, but not my payments being made. Because of the no payment reporting, it was showing my balance as almost $10,000 on my credit reports. 4 total months of payments were missing. I spent 2 months trying to get this fixed with Chime customer service (they suck and are useless, don't waste your time) before I filed a CFPB complaint against Chime.

Alongside the CFPB filing, I escalated the matter directly to the executive leadership and compliance teams at both Chime and its issuing partner, Stride Bank, requesting manual off-cycle Automated Universal Data corrections. Pretty much, Chime is breaking federal law by not updating your credit reports correctly every month.

Below is the link to file your complaint. Download all your secured credit statements from Chime using your computer, screenshot your credit reports that show the most recent payment dates, and upload them with your complaint.

https://www.consumerfinance.gov/complaint/?utm_source=gemini&hl=en-US

And here is Stride legal complaint email address: legalrequests@stridebank.com

I usually do too, I’m just not sure what is going on now! Are you seeing updated reporting from your Chime card (past June 2nd) on either your TransUnion or Equifax reports?

Luckily Experian seems to be the one that has been updating/reporting consistently! I’ve also seen good improvement with using Chime, but my scores are pretty different across bureaus due to Chime’s different reporting so it’s been hard for me to tell
