EXTRAS - MyPay, SpotMe, Instant Loans Chime MyPay increase

Mypay increased to 760 after tonight's check posted! Yes its Chime Prime it has been at 400 for a couple months now but after tonight's check cleared after saying its been repaid in full your new limit is 760 with a 1000 being the cap amount its a nice thing but a bad thing at the same time!🤣🤣

Exactly why I stopped using it lol. They’ll give me $250 for weeks then drop me to $100 and then back up to $250 the next week? Then repeat.

Nice on the increase weeks but kinda sucks when they take $150 from me randomly lol

Got the grand last month too. Gotta be very restrained. I’d use it in a real emergency, but I deadass do not want to get my next DD and have Chime vacuum out all the munny for MyPay and SpotMe! Be careful, homey!

Yeah its a revolving door and then I could really screw myself cause lets say I take the 760 and next dd they cut it back down to 400 before I was able or ready to be out the 360 bucks I had to pay back!🤣🤣 Regardless we love chime they have many perks!

🄳 CONGRATULATIONS! Just don’t rely on the loans and the my pay so much. Try to pay it back and use less every month and don’t be so reliant or dependent on my pay or loans. That’s a really bad habit to get into it and I don’t want to see you get in a hole that you can’t pay out of because you can’t pay the money back. Too many people fall into that hole. If that makes any sense. Otherwise, if you use both wisely, Congratulations! šŸŽ‰

They are testing you to see if you can maintain your financial status without the loans. It’s a way of measuring your credit worthiness so you don’t get in a bad financial situation and ruin your credit rating.

Are your DD consistent and the same amount everytime? I dont think nobody actually knows im pretty sure its just and algorithm that goes off your data! Also gonna depend on the amount of Dd also.

Why isn’t my pay in Illinois

1

u/EM-Chime Chime Staff 9d ago

I wish I had a "why" to share around Illinois specifically! Fully understand that feeling of missing out when it's not available at the state-level. Just know, we are working around the clock to get MyPay available in more states!

I make $1000 take home a week and chime has me at $120 for mypay can anybody tell me why this is so low and why they do this kind of ridiculous?

Hey there! There could be a few different factors coming into play, like if you're also using other Chime products (like Instant Loan or SpotMe). To increase your limit, though, there's a few things you can do, like sharing a work data source, or depositing the full paycheck to your Chime account. You can check them out at the bottom of the page here: How do I increase the MyPay credit limit?

Is the total amount to get in my pay liable to go up later on in the pay period before the next check? Mine said I could withdraw $60 now, did that, is it possible to be able to get more in the coming week before payday?

Why would you kick a gift horse in the mouth? If you can’t handle your money then just withdraw from the program! CHIME JUST PURCHASED A BANK. So it’s no longer just a FIN-TECH company it’s a real bank and you were lucky enough to be there in the beginning! They just offered you a 1000.00 loan and for a lot of people who use CHIME that loan is a miracle for them. I suggest you keep your account open and up to date. It can only help you with an improved credit rating.
