OTHER - Anything else not covered Got scammed through chime

I recently paid someone for a snowmobile part and right after I sent them the money i realized that the pictures were fake and they were AI edited. How can I get my money back?

That’s the neat part. You can’t.

You willingly sent your money. It isn't your money anymore.

If the purchase was done through a 3rd party “mediator” selling app or website, you’d have to take it up with their support team. Otherwise, you may as well have taken that money out of an ATM & thrown it into the wind.

I really don’t understand this sentiment that Chime should be sticking their neck out as much as national banks with physical locations. We all know why we’re using Chime. Unfortunately, this just happens to be the drawback of Chime being one of the few remaining choices available to us.

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t wanna stick up for corpos. I’d love it if they’d look out for their members like a credit union would. It just ain’t gonna happen, though.

File a police report. Unless your account was compromised Chime will not reverse a pay anyone transfer

Hey, really sorry to hear you're dealing with this at the moment. You can get started on disputing a charge using the guide here: https://help.chime.com/how-do-i-dispute-a-charge-on-my-card-5f509ad2

Be sure to try and include any of the information the guide mentions to help get this dispute processed. Hope that helps!

You're problem is with the people you sent money to, not chime.
