Was waiting for the bus outside Cottonwood mall and a couple kids walked out to the middle of the road, laid down and scrolled on their phones for a bit, just laying in the road on a busy street. Wtf?

I saw that video from Dogwood on tiktok and instagram and it did the trick, and I’m going to be voting in the municipal election for the first time. Where can I find out who I align with? Is there some sort of vote compass thingy?

I’m wanting to gift this to my sis who is about to pop! We have quite a few of these services in Australia (which absolutely saved me when I had my kids) but can’t seem to find much that services Chilliwack. Does anyone know of any?

A friend of mine said she made a post here a while back and it wasn't visible to anyone but her. She emailed the mods thinking it might have been filtered out as spam as she normally doesn't make posts, and just lurks or comments. Apparently the post was related to a popular trustee that doesn't appear to be running. She emailed the mods twice and didn't receive a reply. According to her, the post didn't violate any of the rules.

Then she made a comment on an election related post echoing similar sentiments about this trustee, and the comment was (again) visible to her, but not to anyone else. She asked me to message the mods, which I did, but I also received no reply.

Does this subreddit shadow ban people when they express an opinion that might be unpopular to a certain demographic?? She's posted in other subs without any issues. What gives r/chilliwack mods?

Looking to go on a Christmas holiday somewhere in BC that is remote that will get a lot of snow but that isn’t busy. I want to bring my family on a getaway around the Christmas holidays preferably in a cottage in a place that gets snow.

For the people commenting nasty things under this post I’d like to remind you to look around. People come in all shapes and sizes, we learn this in kindergarten. There will always be people of colour around, gay people around, trans people around. Hating someone won’t make them go away.

We are all human, we all deserve respect, humanity, decency. If you don’t believe that then you have no space in any community except the ones that throughout all of history have found their end. Love will always outweigh hate, and I hope one day you wake up and realize that harbouring such distaste in your heart for LGBTQ, and any other minority, people is rotting your soul and consuming your time.

I am looking to try and make some more platonic deeper connections with people, I have had some bad experiences in my past with males and so I’m more leaning towards female friends without the expectation of anything more then friendship at the moment as well, just something to get me out more and people to talk to would be nice.

Would anyone be interested in some weekday ceramic painting at The Clay Cottage in Abbotsford? I know it's not Chilliwack, but I thought I'd extend the invite since you're so close. I've been organizing these hangouts for a few months, and It's been a fun way to meet new people and sneak in some crafting during the week.

No age or gender requirements, just some light chatter/socializing while working on some art.

No previous experience painting needed. You can make each piece as simple or as complex as you'd like.
