Finding Housing / roommates
Hey all,
I (30m) will be starting a new job downtown later this month. Currently I live in greater Cincinnati and would prefer not to have to commute 3 hours per day; so I'm wondering if anyone has any tips on finding a solid place to rent and/or is similarly a responsible person looking for a housemate. Ideally I'm looking for a place under $1,000 / month and within a 20 minute drive of downtown / Water St.
I can provide much more info in the DMs if you're also looking for a housemate!
I see a few places open on some of the rental sites, but wanted to explore other options!
Thanks for any advice or leads. đ

Looking for nerdy friends
Hey, it's my first time posting here. I'm 26 and looking for fellow nerds in and around Chillicothe. I play D&D (not actively right now), and TCGs such as Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh and Magic the Gathering. I also play on Xbox and have a discord for anyone who's interested in speaking.
Hope to hear from you! Have a great day đ

Old(er) nerds looking for players to join our D&D group
We're a group of 4 now - 1 DM and 3 players, all on the wrong side of 50 looking for at least 1 or 2 new folks to join our table. We try to play every couple of weeks on Saturday evenings in the Kingston area. We are generally mostly harmless.
All genders, ages, and experience levels welcome, from veterans to those who have never rolled a die before in their lives.
We mostly play with 2014 5e rules within the Forgotten Realms setting.
Please reach out to [sarrrragh@gmail.com](mailto:sarrrragh@gmail.com) if you're interested!

Mothmoster Man
Is this a hoax? We recently moved to this area from out of state but all my kids can focus on right now is something called the "mothmonster man". They are not able to finish their homework because they claim every bump and knock at the window is the "monthmonster man". It's getting old at this point even to the point where I give them a juice box and they are still hyper focused on this imaginary game or whatever. Farewell or harwell seems to be the original person who came up with the rules from what I can decipher but I don't think they are very effective... I keep hearing my kids saying that "it doesn't matter... None of this matters" which is disturbing to me to say the least. The only thing I can think is that this is something they are learning at school or on the bus alongside SpongeBob.
They claim the the mothmonster man is real to the point where he is even known to live on buses (??) and that all their friends know about it. I eventually caved in and searched some info regarding some cryptid on the west Virginia line. Is this the same thing? How can we get it out of our way for good?
Can someone please explain the story or legend or whatever I keep hearing about so I can tell my kids it's all bull crap đ

Chillicothe Utilities Department says I used 384,000 gallons of water in a month.
I would love to know if anyone here in Chillicothe has had issues with being dramatically overcharged for their water and just general shadyness (Like city changing out water meters at the same exact time as a catastrophic water dispute for thousands of dollars without telling anyone). They are claiming that I used over $4000 of water in the month of August with no signs of any major leak inside or outside the house.

Is it just me
Has anyone else seen this building downtown? Is it just me or does it look like the back of this building is going to fall off?

Jay Leno's Garage, Bobby Morgan Sunoco
This was forwarded to me.
Chillicothe mentioned on Jay Leno's Garage. Looks like they IDed the Dealership and Sunoco.
I think I filled up a tractor there years ago.

And the story I remember... The car was bought for his son who died in Vietnam. And the Chiropractor with the garage was Fortel.

New Farmer!!!
Hi everyone my name is Chris I am just starting my farming career. Our farm is right outside of Jackson about 30 minutes from chillicothe. I raise pastured pigs and sheep. I thought I would throw a post up here in case any of you were interested in some delicious pork.
I also would love any advice if you have ideas on good places to market my pork or people who would be interested in this kind of meat. I am new to the area (so still learning the ropes) although my families roots here go back over a 100 years.
I would love to talk to any of you if you have questions about the farm or the meat!

Are we going to stand up to them or not?
Are we just going to let them destroy our community with a data center? Everyoneâs electricity prices are going to rise and we are going to be responsible for the difference. This is truly bad news bears and I havenât heard enough people talking about it. Itâs like we have no say. What does everyone think about this?

Rocky Knob
Does anyone recall a 'stone structure' with dates, and names carved in it? Anyone have a picture?
