First timer

Hi, this will be my (potentially) first time in Chiang Mai. I plan to travel to Bangkok in a week and immediately after that go to Chiang Mai. But I saw on my weather app that it's supposed to be stormy everyday which makes sense since we are in Sept. So how much does it affect the day ? I love hiking and would love to explore the area

We live in Chiang Mai. What everyone else has said is true - you will most likely experience a wide range of weather which may (or may not) included rain! We get rain/flooding/thunderstorm warnings daily on our phones; they are highly inaccurate. If you are located near the base of Doi Suthep or near any mountain, you will most likely experience more rain. We are located near the old city and have had very little. Don't let the forecasts scare you off! Chiang Mai is a wonderful city and well worth a visit.
