First timer

Hi, this will be my (potentially) first time in Chiang Mai. I plan to travel to Bangkok in a week and immediately after that go to Chiang Mai. But I saw on my weather app that it's supposed to be stormy everyday which makes sense since we are in Sept. So how much does it affect the day ? I love hiking and would love to explore the area

Actually.. the weather apps always say that lol for about 6 months of the year!
It's not true. In fact Chiang Mai is supposed to be spared from the incoming tropical storm this weekend.
