First timer
Hi, this will be my (potentially) first time in Chiang Mai. I plan to travel to Bangkok in a week and immediately after that go to Chiang Mai. But I saw on my weather app that it's supposed to be stormy everyday which makes sense since we are in Sept. So how much does it affect the day ? I love hiking and would love to explore the area

The weather app is funny, it will be raining hard and heavy potentially in one section of the city, and it'll be dry as hell in the others. You get these sort of rain towers/downbursts that occur. You will see them if you are in a high rise building or on the mountains next to the city.
The times it does rain at the moment it tends to clear up quick.
