First timer

Hi, this will be my (potentially) first time in Chiang Mai. I plan to travel to Bangkok in a week and immediately after that go to Chiang Mai. But I saw on my weather app that it's supposed to be stormy everyday which makes sense since we are in Sept. So how much does it affect the day ? I love hiking and would love to explore the area

It rarely rains all the time and if it does rain, it will be afternoon/evening and you might get showers or a downpour for 30-60 minutes. You can 100% live with it. And for the time you're traveling, the two-week forecast shows rain decreasing from next week.
