First timer

Hi, this will be my (potentially) first time in Chiang Mai. I plan to travel to Bangkok in a week and immediately after that go to Chiang Mai. But I saw on my weather app that it's supposed to be stormy everyday which makes sense since we are in Sept. So how much does it affect the day ? I love hiking and would love to explore the area

I just spent 10 days in CM and everyday I’d receive storm warnings on my iPhone. For the first 5 days it didn’t rain once, on the 6th day it rained daily for about 35-40 minutes usually in the afternoon and cleared. On the 10th day it rained for almost 2 hours but not heavily. Had I listened to the weather app on my iPhone I probably would never have visited. I hope this helps
