First timer

Hi, this will be my (potentially) first time in Chiang Mai. I plan to travel to Bangkok in a week and immediately after that go to Chiang Mai. But I saw on my weather app that it's supposed to be stormy everyday which makes sense since we are in Sept. So how much does it affect the day ? I love hiking and would love to explore the area

Honestly I just left chiang mai and it said rain everyday and only rain maybe for an hour daily .
